Director, Healthcare Analytics

Position Purpose: The Director, Healthcare Analytics leads analytic service delivery by aligning strategic objectives with the development of tools and capabilities and appropriate deployment of supporting analytic teams. The director serves in a leadership function spanning the needs of multiple health plan and business partners and partners across functional areas to deliver best-in-class analytic services. The role will lead advanced population health analytics, outcomes measurement, and managed care value analyses that support market engagement, pre-request-for-proposal strategy, and data-driven proposal development. This capability strengthens evidence-based responses, demonstrates measurable impact, and improves performance in proposal scoring areas related to innovation and population health strategy. Sponsorship and future sponsorship are not available for this opportunity, including employment-based visa types H-1B, L-1, O-1, H-1B1, F-1, J-1, OPT, or CPT Prioritize and direct the planning and execution of enterprise-wide analytics projects and strategic initiatives, supporting the translation of business goals into actionable solutions Provide senior leadership support and partnership to development efforts between business and technical partners Interface with leadership to ensure effective communication and visibility of strategic intent to analytic teams Prioritize team work and manage executive customer expectations and relationships Maintain alignment of team goals and resource deployment with strategic objectives and the business needs of multiple health plans and corporate stakeholders Serve as a primary domain contact as well as key point of escalation and accountability to ensure customer partnership and satisfaction Collaborate with leaders across analytic domains to ensure strong partnerships, align all business needs, leverage cross-functional skills, and co-develop valuable analytic solutions Mentor, manage, and ensure the continuous development of a team of leaders and analysts Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, statistics, mathematics, actuarial science, public health, health informatics, healthcare administration, finance or related field. Master's degree preferred. 7+ years of experience in healthcare analytics, leading an organization, creating strategic plans, and operationalizing functional teams in direct relation to meeting business needs or realizing goals tied to strategic objectives. Experience in strategic planning and solutioning preferred. Broad exposure and understanding of statistical, analytical, or data mining techniques and appropriate application of these capabilities in a business performance environment. Working knowledge of SQL/querying languages. Experience with table creation and indexing, query optimization, and utilization of stored procedures. Preferred knowledge of programmatic coding languages such as Python and R. Knowledge of basic statistical, analytical, or data mining techniques including basic data modeling, trend analysis, and root-cause analysis preferred. Experience in change management processes and procedures preferred. Preferred knowledge of modern business intelligence and visualization tools including Microsoft Power BI. Demonstrated ability mentoring and training people leaders across multiple areas of focus. Experience with Medicaid, value-based care, population health programs, or government healthcare procurements preferred. Experience with predictive modeling, outcomes measurement, total cost of care analysis, or risk adjustment preferred. Demonstrated success building or modernizing an analytics capability, improving automation, and establishing performance measures preferred.
