ABOUT RESPIRE Respire Homecare Services provides comprehensive, compassionate, and personalized home care services for patients and their families by fostering an environment that balances both the needs of our employees and the needs of the company through open communication, teamwork, trust, and mutual respect. We embrace change and the opportunity it brings to establish and administer sound policies, rules and practices that treat employees with dignity and equality. Our focus is on delivering patient centered home care services while being committed to recruiting, developing, rewarding, and retaining our most valuable resource – our employees. ABOUT THE ROLE The Director of Innovation is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and implementing technology-enabled solutions that address high-value business needs across Respire. This role serves as a strategic and hands-on resource for navigating the third-party technology ecosystem, assessing opportunities, and translating business needs into practical solutions that improve patient and operational outcomes. The Director of Innovation works across functions to lead initiatives from initial discovery and solution evaluation through implementation, adoption, and measurement of results. The role requires both strategic perspective and strong attention to detail, with an emphasis on creating sustainable value, improving the patient and family experience, and supporting Respire’s continued differentiation in the chronic respiratory homecare market. WHAT YOU’LL DO Partner with the CPTO and Director of Transformation to translate strategic priorities and existing solution gaps into a focused portfolio of high-leverage problems to solve. Build clear business cases, sequence initiatives, define milestones, and maintain visibility into decisions, risks, dependencies, and value realized. Develop a deep understanding of the patient journey and the workflows that support it across referral intake, setup, clinical care, patient navigation, resupply, revenue cycle, supply chain, sales, and support. Partner with the Director of Transformation to identify root causes and friction points, determine where Respire’s DME platform and existing solutions fall short of the desired experience or outcome, and define a practical roadmap for closing those gaps. Translate unmet needs into required capabilities and evaluate the full solution landscape, including custom-built solutions, third-party platforms, automation and AI, and integrations. Lead build-versus-buy analysis using clear criteria for value, speed, usability, scalability, security, compliance, integration, and total cost of ownership. Own and optimize Respire’s portfolio of third-party technology partners, including existing vendors and new solutions under consideration. Proactively review contracts, utilization, performance, and market alternatives; lead renewals and commercial negotiations; and identify opportunities to consolidate, renegotiate, expand, or retire solutions. Manage cost, value, risk, and vendor accountability across the portfolio. Partner with the Transformation Team to turn selected solutions into executable plans with clear scope, owners, workstreams, milestones, decision points, dependencies, testing, training, rollout, and post-launch measurement and optimization. Provide hands-on project management support and directly address barriers or dependencies when needed to maintain progress. Partner with cross-functional leadership and Respire’s PR and Marketing teams to execute website design and other initiatives that translate Respire’s innovation and measurable results into tangible differentiation. Create proof points, case studies, demonstrations, and outcome narratives grounded in evidence for patients, families, employees, referral partners, payers, and the broader market. WHAT YOU’LL BRING 5+ years of experience in healthcare innovation, digital health, product management, business transformation, operations consulting, enterprise applications, or a related field. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred. Equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant professional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Experience leading complex, cross-functional technology initiatives from discovery through implementation and measurable adoption. Experience evaluating and managing third-party technology solutions and vendor relationships. Experience developing business cases, evaluating total cost of ownership, and using data to support prioritization and investment decisions. Experience with healthcare, tech-enabled healthcare, home-based care, DME/HME, post-acute care, revenue cycle, clinical operations, or another regulated environment is strongly preferred. Familiarity with HIPAA, security, interoperability, and healthcare vendor diligence is preferred.
