Job Summary:
The Director, International Advisory Committee on Clinical Trials in MS provides day-to-day committee management and scientific strategy for the Society's clinical trials committee and related standing committees or workgroups. Working with the VP, Medical Affairs the IACCTMS lead will help to advance strategic priorities such as MS course descriptors, diagnostic criteria, innovative trial design, biomarkers, outcomes, artificial intelligence, and other emerging topics by convening experts, managing deliverables, and aligning scientific outputs with Society priorities. Contributes to the achievement of the Society's four strategic pillars by aligning work, decisions, and partnerships with enterprise priorities and actively collaborating across teams to advance mission outcomes.

Work is primarily performed remotely, however, when possible and necessary, teams meet in person to conduct the business of the organization and build team relationships.
Compensation | Benefits:
The estimated hiring compensation range for this role is $100,000 - $120,000. Final offers will be based on the candidate's geographic location, consider career experience, and may vary from this range due to these and other factors.

Main Responsibilities:
Scope of Role: Committee Management (60%)
Develop and maintain the committee's multi-year scientific agenda, workplan, milestones, and priority topics.
Plan and facilitate committee meetings, coordinate agendas, document decisions, track actions, and support committee chairs and workgroup leads.
Design comprehensive project plans aligned with IACCTMS scientific and clinical strategies and priorities to implement and communicate projects as well as track progress and performance.
Lead and manage the coordination, alignment, changes in project scopes and budgets to fulfill partnership and collaborative work with ECTRIMS.
Manage the IACCTMS Sponsor group (the board of the IACCTMS) including organizing quarterly meetings, drafting annual reviews, and ensuring timely financial planning and reporting
Scope of Role: Scientific Management and Leadership (30%)
Manage collaboration with international and domestic organizations, academic experts, regulators, funders, and scientific partners as appropriate.
Working with IACCTMS leadership, engage the international academic, clinical and commercial research community to develop innovative solutions and consensus around for MS challenges and opportunities
Drive and facilitate writing of scientific and consensus papers for publishing in key scientific journals.
Develop meeting summaries, presentations, statements, and external communications related to scientific content from IACCTMS meetings and activities.
Assist with scientific meeting planning, content development and support for IACCTMS in person and virtual meetings.
Manage the coordination and collaboration with all mission teams as related to their bodies of work.
Collaborate with Director, Global Initiatives to align priorities and initiatives.
Scope of Role: Team Responsibilities (10%)
Attend/actively engage in training, professional development, conferences, and staff meetings.
Collaborate across mission and contribute to the integrated mission operations plan.
Develop a strong working knowledge of all Society and relevant 3rd party (e.g., Komodo) information systems including Salesforce or other Society CRMs.
Maintain knowledge of MS, current treatments, disease, and symptom management.
Stay up to date on advances in MS through publications and research.
Implement and follow National MS Society risk management policies and procedures.
Participate in professional development activities to improve knowledge and understanding of healthcare systems and provider needs.
Contribute to team meetings, provide support, and feedback to colleagues.
Other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking for:
Advanced understanding of clinical research, clinical trial design, outcomes research, or translational science.
Experience managing scientific committees, expert workgroups, publications, or multi-stakeholder research initiatives.
Strong ability to synthesize emerging science and identify strategic implications for the Society.
Excellent scientific writing, meeting facilitation, and consensus-building skills.
Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple complex workstreams.
Ability to build credibility with senior scientific and clinical experts.
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced degree in clinical science, neuroscience, public health, epidemiology, biostatistics, health services research, or related field.
Experience in MS, neurology, immunology, clinical trial networks, regulatory science, biomarkers, outcomes, or real-world data.
Experience supporting international committees, consensus publications, or guideline/position statement development.
