Director, Learning
PractifiAbout Practifi (The Real Story)
At Practifi, we build financial technology, but more importantly, we build a place where people enjoy working and genuinely care about each other. In a crowd of fintechs preaching culture, we actually live it—what you see in interviews is what you'll experience every day. You'll join a team that solves real problems for real people, together.
The role
Learning here serves two audiences: clients who need value from a product that changes every release, and our own team who needs to stay ahead of it.
You'd lead the Learning team, own content and certification across both product lines, and sit in release planning alongside the Product and Marketing leads. The foundations are already good: a steady release cadence, our portals, a knowledge base, and a monthly scorecard the business actually reads. What's next is proving what all of that does for client adoption.
It's a role with reach. Learning touches every client and every internal team, you'd have a seat where releases take shape, and you'd report to our COO. Where it goes from here is largely yours to shape.
What you'd own
- Learning strategy, from internal onboarding through to client certification
- The team itself: a learning experience designer, a technical writer, training consultants, and learning operations
- Release planning as a peer to Product and Marketing, and the content cycle that follows each release across the knowledge base, portals, and vignette library
- The client-specific learning environments alongside PractifiU, from build through retirement
- The Learning budget, and the reporting that ties learning engagement to product adoption
Who we're hoping to meet
5+ years in learning, enablement, or technical training, three of them leading a team. You've run a documentation and LMS estate at some scale and partnered with Product or Engineering on release-driven content. And you check product behavior for yourself: opening an org and reading a permission set before you write anything up.
Past that, we're open. B2B SaaS helps, especially somewhere the product moved fast enough that keeping content current was its own discipline. Salesforce vocabulary earns its keep quickly here too. Financial services or wealthtech is a bonus, though an appetite for picking up specialist language fast does the same job. And if AI tools have changed how you build content, tell us what changed.
Pay and benefits
- $130,000 to $145,000 base. We publish our ranges because we'd rather have that conversation up front than dance around it later.
- 20 days annual leave, 10 sick days, 3 personal days, and 3 volunteering days, all from day one
- A learning stipend we call Learnbucks, because we couldn't help ourselves
- Two company summits a year in Chicago
How we work
Growth, Collaboration, Transparency, Curiosity, and Integrity aren't posters on a wall here, they're how this specific role gets judged. We measure training against whether it actually moved someone forward, not whether it filled a calendar. This job doesn't work without a real partnership across Product, Engineering, Client Success, and Client Support. And we'd rather hear from you that something isn't working before it shows up in the numbers than get a polished report after the fact.
If that's the kind of ownership you're looking for, we'd like to hear from you.
