Director of Accounts Location – Outside This is an outside role, which means that you will work at a distance in Bentonville, Arkansas area. Expected travel is up to 75% which includes trips to our offices in Wisconsin 4 times/year. Employee Type – Salaried Bonus – This position is eligible for a 25% annual incentive bonus based on cooperative and individual performance. Summary of Role The Director of Accounts architects enterprise-wide sales strategy, setting direction for organizational growth and transformation to assigned customer(s) defined as Tier 1. This role owns the most complex, high-value customer relationships, drives strategic partnership development, and leads cross-functional initiatives that align marketing, supply chain, and finance to deliver on enterprise objectives. Recognized as an expert in category leadership, financial stewardship, and innovation strategy, the Director of Accounts influences significant decisions and positions the company as a strategic partner in the marketplace. This is a safety-sensitive position. Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Enterprise Sales Strategy and Customer Growth – 30% of time o Lead development and execution of enterprise-level sales strategies for Tier 1 customers, setting ambitious goals and holding self-accountable for delivering volume, profit, and share growth. o Cultivate and influence executive-level relationships with strategic partners, driving joint business planning and shaping long-term growth while proactively addressing challenges and opportunities. o Develop strategic agreements and recommendations that support company and customer objectives. • Leadership, Team Development, and Cross-Functional Collaboration – 25% of time o Manage a team and align efforts with strategic goals, mentoring others and driving performance across the greater department. o Lead initiatives with foresight and agility, fostering innovation and a culture of learning. o Lead cross-functional initiatives, aligning marketing, supply chain, and finance to deliver strategic objectives. • Financial Stewardship and Business Performance – 20% of time o Own P&L for top-tier accounts, managing multimillion-dollar budgets, trade investments, and profitability. o Provide regular, detailed financial reporting and analysis to senior leadership. o Analyze complex market, financial, and consumer data to inform strategic decisions, identify new business opportunities, and mitigate risks. • Innovation, Distribution, and Market Execution – 25% of time o Drive innovation launches, distribution expansion, and category leadership, ensuring execution excellence and achievement of strategic objectives. o Communicate insights and recommendations to executive leadership. o Resolve high-impact account issues and negotiate strategic agreements, ensuring outcomes support both company and customer objectives. Additional Duties and Responsibilities • Support departmental and organizational initiatives as needed. • Partner with internal stakeholders to advance commercial goals and cooperative priorities. • Other duties as assigned by supervisor. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities • Enterprise-level sales strategy and account management expertise. • Strong financial acumen, including P&L ownership, budgeting, trade investment management, and profitability analysis. • Ability to build and influence executive-level customer relationships. • Cross-functional leadership skills with the ability to align marketing, supply chain, finance, and other partners. • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market, financial, and consumer data. • Innovation, category leadership, and business planning experience. • Ability to lead teams, mentor others, and foster a culture of performance, agility, and learning. • Strong communication skills, including the ability to present insights and recommendations to senior and executive leadership. • Ability to resolve complex account issues and negotiate strategic agreements. Base salary range: $129,896 - $194,854 per year This salary range is exclusive of fringe benefits. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary bonuses. If you are hired at CROPP, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographical location, skills, education, and/or experience. Additionally, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider the internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that entry-level candidates to this role should expect to be at the lower end of the salary range and hiring at the maximum of the salary range is not typical.
