You will work independently, spend a lot of time with clients face to face, and work closely with internal scientific and project teams. This is a high-impact role for a commercial leader who wants to expand the company's presence in one of the most active life sciences regions in the world.
Details:

- Location: Remote, field-based – US East Coast (Boston, New York, New Jersey, Philadelphia or North Carolina / Research Triangle)
- Start: ASAP
- Duration: Long-term
- English: Fluent
- Type of collaboration: Internal Employment

About the project:
The company is a global integrated drug discovery partner (CRO) that supports pharma and biotech clients from early discovery through preclinical research. Its offering covers the full discovery value chain, including chemistry, biology and preclinical services, so clients can run complex programs with a single partner. The company works with a wide range of clients, from top pharmaceutical companies to fast-growing biotech startups. It is now expanding its commercial presence in the US, with a strong focus on the East Coast life sciences corridor. This role is key to that growth strategy and offers a lot of ownership and visibility.
You have:
- 5+ years of experience in business development or sales at a CRO, CDMO or related life sciences service provider
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemistry, Biology, Pharmaceutical Sciences or a related Life Sciences field
- Proven experience selling services across the drug discovery and development cycle to pharma and biotech clients
- Track record of closing complex, consultative deals with both large pharma and biotech startups
- Strong commercial skills and experience in contract negotiation
- Ability to work independently in a field-based role with up to 60% travel
- Location on the US East Coast (Boston, New York, New Jersey, Philadelphia or North Carolina)
- Fluent English
Nice to have:
- Master's degree or Ph.D. in a Life Sciences field
- An established network of pharma and biotech contacts on the US East Coast
What to do:
- Drive new business and revenue growth for integrated drug discovery and preclinical services across the US East Coast
- Own the full sales cycle: prospecting, qualifying, solution design, proposal development, negotiation and contract closure
- Find and develop new opportunities with large pharma companies and early-stage biotech startups
- Build and manage a strong, well-balanced pipeline and keep forecasts accurate
- Use your scientific expertise to match the company's technical offering with each client's discovery needs
- Work with internal scientific, project management and proposal teams to build tailored solutions
- Build long-term relationships with key accounts and grow existing client partnerships
- Represent the company at client meetings, industry conferences and networking events
- Share market and competitor insights with leadership to shape commercial strategy
