Position Summary
The Director of Claims Quality Assurance will be part of the Velocity Claims LLC team. This role will be responsible for completing monthly claim file audits for the Claims TPA, ongoing carrier audits, feedback improvement plans. Additionally, this role will be responsible for creating and maintaining best practices, claim guidelines and training plans.What will your job entail?
Quality Assurance & Audit Management
- Maintain a comprehensive property claims quality assurance program.
- Conduct regular claim file audits to evaluate coverage analysis, investigation quality, reserving accuracy, documentation, and customer service.
- Establish QA KPI metrics, audit standards, and performance benchmarks.
- Identify claim handling trends, deficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Monitor corrective action plans and track improvement trends
Regulatory & Carrier Compliance
- Ensure compliance with state insurance regulations, fair claims handling practices, and company procedures.
- Monitor adherence to carrier-specific claims handling guidelines and authority requirements.
- Support market conduct examinations, carrier audits, and internal compliance reviews.
- Review DOI complaints, litigation trends, and regulatory findings to identify quality concerns.
TPA & Vendor Oversight
- Evaluate performance of TPAs, independent adjusting firms, engineers, and other claim vendors.
- Perform delegated authority audits and operational reviews.
- Assess adherence to service standards, reporting requirements, and authority limitations.
- Collaborate with vendor leadership to improve claim quality and consistency.
Claims Performance Analytics
- Develop and maintain QA dashboards and KPI reporting.
- Analyze trends involving: Coverage accuracy Timeliness Reserve accuracy Large loss management Litigation rates Customer satisfaction Leakage indicators
- Present findings and recommendations to executive leadership and carrier partners.
Training & Continuous Improvement
- Design and deliver claims quality training programs.
- Provide coaching and feedback to adjusters, supervisors, and claims leadership.
- Partner with claims management to implement best practices and process improvements.
Underwriting Feedback
- Partner with Underwriting and Product to provide industry trend analysis and feedback on portfolio.
- Provide feedback on policy language based on claim trends.

The target salary range for this position is $124,413.00 - $155,517.00 annually.The wage range for this role considers many factors, such as training, transferable skills, work experience, licensure and certification, business needs, and market demands. The pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. Full-time roles are eligible for bonuses and benefits.
