Director of EHS (Environmental)

Position Overview Amerit Fleet Solutions, one of the leading fleet maintenance companies in the US , is looking to hire a skilled Environmental Director to lead and manage our organization's environmental initiatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing sustainability strategies, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations, and driving the organization toward measurable environmental stewardship goals. Qualifications• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Sustainability, Public Policy, or related field.• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in environmental management, sustainability, or related fields, with leadership experience.• Extensive knowledge of environmental regulations, compliance standards, and best practices.• Demonstrated experience in developing and executing environmental and sustainability programs.• Strong project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.• Leadership experience managing cross-functional teams, mentoring staff, and fostering collaboration.• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.• Familiarity with environmental management systems (EMS), sustainability reporting frameworks, and data analysis tools.• Certifications such as LEED AP, ISO 14001, CSP, or CIH are a plus.• Ability to work in a dynamic, matrixed organization and adapt to changing priorities.
