Job Description
The Director of Enrollment provides proactive leadership in developing and executing comprehensive strategies to attract and enroll qualified students at Azusa Pacific University Global. This role demands strong strategic thinking, exceptional leadership capabilities, and a thorough understanding of the online asynchronous learning environment. The Director will inspire and motivate a high-performing team to achieve ambitious enrollment goals within a competitive landscape, all while upholding APU Global’s Christ-centered mission. The ideal candidate is a dynamic, results-oriented leader with proven strategic vision, outstanding communication and collaboration skills, a strong understanding of marketing and sales principles, and excellent people and project management abilities. This leader will collaborate with key stakeholders to implement innovative recruitment strategies by leveraging new technologies, optimizing processes, and cultivating strategic partnerships to attract prospective online students and successfully move them through the recruitment funnel towards enrollment.

Compensation:
This is a Full-time, Exempt position at Grade 18, with a starting salary range of $113,453 – $141,816. Salary ranges listed here represent a good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Actual compensation will depend on several factors, including but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant experience and qualifications.
Primary work location:
Remote: This position is classified as "Remote". The employee's home office is the primary work location and must be located in a state APU Global is registered. The classification of this position is subject to change based on business needs, job performance, etc. If an employee changes their physical location/residence to another state, it could impact future employment.
Remote Expectation:
We expect our employees to be able to fulfill their APU Global responsibilities with minimal distractions. While remote work does offer flexibility, employees should make arrangements for regular dependent care during work hours. This is a fully remote position; however, travel may be required to meet business demands, university needs or team meetings as necessary.
Required Experience / Education
- Christian Commitment: Vital Christian faith and lifestyle; supportive of the evangelical mission and purpose of APU Global
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Five years of experience in higher education enrollment management with multiple starts per academic year
- Proven track record of achieving enrollment goals in a competitive market
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting
- Experience with CRM software and digital marketing tools
- Experience managing remote teams.
Desired Experience / Education
- Seven years of significant leadership experience in student enrollment/admissions or sales-driven call center.
- Experience in an online learning environment, online learning platforms and technologies.
- Master’s degree in student affairs, higher education administration, marketing, organizational leadership or related area of study is a plus.
Essential Functions
- Enrollment Management: Develop and execute comprehensive enrollment strategies for eight start dates per academic year that are aligned with the APU Global's mission and annual goals.
- Marketing and Recruitment: Collaborate with the Director of Marketing and Communications to support recruitment efforts, including digital advertising, social media, email campaigns, and public relations. Co-manage marketing agency to support organic and non-organic growth as they are responsible for lead generation, SEO, and SEM activities.
- Admissions Processes: Optimize admissions processes and application management, ensuring a positive and efficient experience for prospective students.
- Student Recruitment: Lead a team of enrollment managers and counselors to identify and recruit qualified students achieving set goals each enrollment cycle. (eight starts per year)
- Data Analysis: Analyze enrollment data to identify trends, measure effectiveness of recruitment strategies, and make data-driven decisions.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage the enrollment department's financial budget.
- Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team of enrollment professionals. Provide active leadership and build high-performing teams through best practices and investing in training and development. Manage high-energy and performance-driven enrollment operations, ensuring exemplary professionalism and excellent student service.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with other university departments, such as academic affairs, student success, financial aid, and student accounts, and registrar to ensure a seamless student experience.
- Innovation: Seek innovative ways to attract prospective students seeking online education, such as exploring new technologies, partnerships, or marketing channels. Recommend, implement,, and effectively utilize technology to continuously enhance and advance the enrollment process.
- Compliance: Adhere to all relevant federal and state laws e.g. Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), Title IV, Department of Education regulations, etc.
- Required to work a Saturday commencement event each calendar year
- Carrying out other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Vice President

The Director of Enrollment is responsible for carrying out APU Global’s Christian faith and mission by hiring Godly employees who embody the Christian faith in their daily living and by providing spiritual support and care to employees in their span of care through praying with employees regarding their dreams and challenges, sharing devotional messages and providing their team members with spiritual counseling. The Director of Enrollment is assessed annually on their performance in accomplishing these vital tasks.
