This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded leader who excels at balancing group demand, optimizing inventory, and partnering across Revenue Management, Sales, and Hotel Operations to deliver exceptional business results. This role is open to a remote work location.
Picture yourself brightening someone’s day. When you join our hotels team, that’s exactly what you’ll do every time you come to work! As a Director of Group Optimization, you’re not just optimizing function space usage and strategy across multiple locations – you’re spreading the light and warmth of hospitality by delivering memorable experiences that make the stay for every guest.
Here's what you'll do during a typical day:
- Maximize group and catering revenue: Analyze meeting space usage, booking trends, and pricing strategies to improve Revenue per Available Square Foot (RevPASF) and drive total group revenue performance
- Optimize function space allocation: Review, audit, and adjust group space assignments to eliminate conflicts, minimize inefficiencies, and ensure high-yield utilization
- Enhance forecast accuracy: Leverage historical data, booking pace, and business intelligence to improve forecasting for rooms, space, and food & beverage revenue
- Monitor and analyze booking data: Review Delphi entries, the Function Diary, agendas, and post-event data to ensure accurate records, identify discrepancies, and uncover insights to inform smarter future bookings
- Support strategic sales decisions: Provide data-driven recommendations to Sales and Events teams to inform pricing, identify gaps, and prioritize high-value business
- Drive cross-functional alignment: Facilitate collaboration among Sales, Events, Catering, and Revenue Management to ensure cohesive, revenue-maximizing group strategies
- Cultivate a high-performing team: Drive engagement and retention through performance management, professional development, and recognition programs
