Director of Human Resources

Full-Time

McKinney, TX (Remote flexible)

We are seeking an experienced Director of Human Resources to lead and support HR operations across our growing healthcare organization. This role will partner closely with leadership and operational teams to ensure consistent HR practices, strong employee support, compliance, and effective people processes across multiple locations and states.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on HR leader who is comfortable operating in a fast-paced, multi-location healthcare environment and can balance strategic initiatives with day-to-day HR needs.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead day-to-day Human Resources operations across multiple locations and states
  • Partner with leadership and operational leadership on employee relations, performance management, workforce planning, and organizational needs
  • Provide guidance to managers on HR policies, employee issues, corrective actions, and performance concerns
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies
  • Oversee employee relations matters and workplace investigations
  • Support onboarding, offboarding, employee changes, and other key employee lifecycle processes
  • Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies, procedures, and best practices
  • Partner with Payroll, Benefits, Recruiting, and Operations to ensure efficient and consistent HR processes
  • Identify opportunities to improve HR systems, processes, documentation, and employee experience
  • Maintain accurate HR records and reporting
  • Support organizational growth and change initiatives
  • Provide HR reporting and updates to leadership as needed

What We’re Looking For

  • Healthcare Human Resources experience required
  • 5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience
  • Previous HR leadership or management experience required
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws, HR compliance, employee relations, and performance management
  • Experience supporting employees and leaders across multiple locations and/or states
  • Home Health, Hospice, or other post-acute healthcare experience strongly preferred
  • Experience handling complex employee relations matters and workplace investigations
  • Strong communication, organization, judgment, and follow-through
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable partnering directly with leadership and operational teams
  • Strong working knowledge of HRIS and other HR technology platforms
