Be the leader who turns strategy into results and relationships into growth.
We're looking for a commercially astute, relationship-driven Director of Inspection, Enforcement & Compliance Services (IECS) to lead our IECS Division. This is a high-impact leadership role where you'll own the Division's P&L, set the strategic direction, and ensure our services consistently meet and exceed client expectations across a range of high-profile public and private sector clients.
From building strategic relationships with clients, regulators and government agencies to leading and developing your management team, driving business development, and delivering against ambitious commercial targets, you'll play a pivotal role in the continued growth and reputation of the Division.
If you're a natural leader who thrives on ownership, enjoys building relationships that matter, and knows how to turn strategy into results, we'd love to hear from you.
What you'll be doing
As our Director of IECS, you'll lead the day-to-day and strategic running of the Services Division across a broad range of responsibilities, including:
Strategy & Commercial Performance
- Working with the General Manager to develop annual targets, KPIs and budget.
- Developing and executing a Business Development strategy, identifying opportunities to increase both existing revenue streams and new business opportunities.
- Owning and managing the full P&L for the Services Division, taking accountability for revenue, cost control, margin and profitability.
- Delivering on the Division's P&L in keeping with the annual budget.
- Defining and delivering agreed priorities and goals for the Services Division.
- Continuously reviewing operational processes, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
Stakeholder & Client Relationships
- Proactively building and managing a network of strategic stakeholder relationships — including clients, accreditation bodies, regulators and government agencies — to strengthen commercial partnerships and build on our reputation.
- Representing the business as a senior ambassador with key customers, accreditation bodies and government agencies, building long-term, high-trust relationships that support commercial growth.
- Developing and maintaining professional relationships with key clients, including local government and private organisations.
- Acting as a trusted point of contact for senior stakeholders across the business.
Team Leadership & People Management
- Managing, training and developing first line managers in their day-to-day duties.
- Managing recruitment, succession planning and performance management of the Services Division.
- Leading, influencing and motivating teams to achieve challenging targets.
- Facilitating goal creation and working with managers to ensure goals are cascaded to all relevant staff.
Operational Delivery & Risk
- Monitoring operations to ensure inspections are delivered effectively, efficiently and within budget.
- Planning and monitoring project schedules in collaboration with the Programme Managers.
- Managing projects to ensure they are delivered on time, to a high level of quality and meet or exceed client expectations.
- Identifying and managing risk to the operational delivery of projects.
- Ensuring products and services are delivered in line with contractual and regulatory guidance.
- Monitoring and maintaining adherence to all Company policies, working with HR where applicable to ensure legal, health & safety and employment law compliance.
Reporting & Performance
- Reporting on Division performance and opportunities for growth.
- Monitoring, managing and communicating results and key performance indicators.
- Working with others in the Group to develop reporting tools that monitor the ongoing performance of the Division.
Resourcing
- Ensuring teams are resourced to a level where targets can be met.
- Monitoring resources within the business against the resourcing plan, liaising with HR and Finance.
- Working across functions with peers in other teams to ensure collaboration for shared goals.
About you
You'll be a commercially minded leader who takes ownership, builds trust easily, and gets satisfaction from turning strategy into results.
You'll also bring:
