Job title: Director of Product, Banking Reports to: VP, Product Management Department: Treasury Solutions Location: Remote Grade: 23 About the Role We are looking for a Director of Product to own the Banking workstream end to end — setting the strategy, leading the roadmap, and driving execution for our banking and payments products across customer onboarding and experience, transaction processing, treasury solutions, and card issuance. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thinks like a strategist but is happy to roll up their sleeves: shaping ambiguous, complex initiatives into clear scope, writing PRDs and user stories themselves when needed, and building the team, processes, and standards that let the org scale. You will lead and mentor product managers situated across multiple regions and time zones, and act as the connective tissue between engineering, design, compliance, risk, and go-to-market. Domain Areas You'll Own This role spans a broad set of banking product domains. We're looking for someone with hands-on product experience across most of the following — and the appetite to go deep on the rest: Customer onboarding and experience — seamless, compliant onboarding journeys and the end-to-end customer experience. Transaction processing — domestic rails (ACH, RTP/FedNow, check) and cross-border payments, including multi-currency handling, all built to be compliant with appropriate risk monitoring and controls to mitigate fraud. Treasury solutions — products that drive deposit growth and interest income. Card issuance programs — issuing programs that generate interchange income. Ledgering and reconciliation — a solid grasp of the core concepts underpinning balance integrity and financial control. What You'll Do Own banking strategy. Define and evolve the product vision, strategy, and multi-quarter roadmap across customer onboarding, transaction processing, treasury, and card issuance, tied to measurable business and customer outcomes. Lead the roadmap and execution. Prioritize ruthlessly, sequence delivery across teams, and be accountable for shipping — from discovery through launch and iteration. Scope complex initiatives independently. Take ambiguous, cross-functional problems and drive them to well-defined requirements and scope without waiting to be handed a brief. Stay hands-on. Personally write PRDs, product specs, and user stories; dig into data, edge cases, ledger and reconciliation logic, and regulatory detail rather than delegating all of it. Scale the org. Establish the product processes, rituals, and standards (discovery, prioritization, spec quality, launch reviews) that let the team grow without losing rigor. Build the right team. Hire, coach, and develop product managers; raise the bar on talent and create clear growth paths. Mentor globally. Guide and mentor teams across multiple regions and time zones, adapting your leadership style to work asynchronously and inclusively. Partner cross-functionally. Work closely with engineering, design, data, compliance, risk, legal, and go-to-market to deliver compliant, high-quality banking experiences. Manage risk and compliance. Ensure products are compliant and have appropriate risk monitoring and controls to mitigate fraud, meeting the regulatory, security, and financial-control requirements inherent to banking and payments. Communicate with leadership. Translate strategy and progress into crisp updates for executives and stakeholders, and make the case for investment and trade-offs. What You'll Bring Roughly 12–18 years of relevant product management experience, including 5+ years leading and managing product teams — a guide, not a gate; we hire on demonstrated impact, not years. Deep banking and/or payments domain expertise — you have shipped core banking, payments, lending, or comparable financial products at scale. Direct product experience across several of our core domains — customer onboarding and experience, transaction processing (ACH, RTP/FedNow, check, cross-border, multi-currency), treasury solutions, and card issuance — with the ability to make credible technical and financial-control decisions in these areas. Experience delivering compliant payment products with strong risk monitoring and fraud controls . Familiarity with treasury products that drive deposit growth and interest income , and card issuance programs that generate interchange income . Working knowledge of ledgering and reconciliation concepts, and how they underpin trustworthy banking products. Proven track record setting product strategy and translating it into a roadmap the organization can execute against. Demonstrated ability to independently scope and lead complex, cross-functional initiatives from ambiguity to delivery. A genuinely hands-on operator — you write your own PRDs and user stories and are motivated by the craft, not just oversight. Experience building and scaling product orgs : hiring, coaching, and instituting durable processes and standards. Strong track record mentoring and leading distributed, global teams across time zones. Fluency working with engineering and design on technical trade-offs, plus comfort navigating compliance, risk, and regulatory constraints. Excellent judgment, communication, and stakeholder-management skills at the executive level. Nice to Have Hands-on experience with domestic and cross-border payment rails — ACH, RTP/FedNow, check, and multi-currency settlement. Experience building treasury or card issuance programs for enterprise or institutional customers. Background building platform or API products (payments, ledger, or reconciliation APIs) that other teams or partners build on. Experience with fraud, risk, and financial-crime tooling (e.g., KYC/AML, transaction monitoring). Experience taking products into new markets or geographies. Technical background or degree in a quantitative field. What Success Looks Like First 90 days: you've absorbed the banking domain, product, and team, and produced a clear point of view on strategy and the near-term roadmap across customer onboarding, transaction processing, treasury, and card issuance. 6 months: the roadmap is executing predictably, spec and discovery quality have measurably improved, and gaps in the team have a hiring or development plan. 12 months: the Banking workstream is scaling — clear processes, a stronger team, and shipped outcomes that move the business. Work Environment & Culture: We believe that performance and experience go hand in hand - an exceptional employee experience is earned through contribution . We are a results-driven team, grounded in our core values: ownership, authenticity, service, trust, innovation, and camaraderie. Our culture is built for those who want to make an impact. Our benefits package is designed to support your well-being, growth, and success - both inside and outside of work. Traditional Physical Requirements: Requires prolonged sitting, standing, bending, stooping and stretching. Requires the ability to lift 10 pounds. Requires eye-hand coordination, manual dexterity and a normal range of hearing and vision (with or without correction). Join our team at Priority Technology Holdings, Inc. and be part of a dynamic and innovative company that is transforming the financial technology landscape.
