Responsibilities

- Own delivery quality, customer satisfaction, financial performance, and execution confidence across the global Retain portfolio.
- Establish clear expectations for delivery, engineering execution, quality, collaboration, customer responsiveness, and risk management.
- Oversee portfolio planning, forecasting, staffing, utilization, margin performance, and continuous improvement, including effective collaboration with India-based teams.
- Serve as an executive escalation point for strategic customers, ensuring clear ownership, recovery plans, communication, and root-cause actions.
Connect Product, Engineering, and Customer Value
- Partner with Product and Engineering leaders to create viable, sequenced, and customer-focused roadmaps.
- Balance customer commitments, product strategy, capacity, technical feasibility, quality, technical debt, modernization, security, reliability, EOL remediation, and platform sustainability.
- Translate technical risks and engineering constraints into clear implications for customer outcomes, investment, margin, timing, and delivery confidence.
- Ensure roadmap decisions have clear priorities, owners, assumptions, dependencies, confidence levels, and trade-offs—and can be clearly communicated to customers and executives.
Drive Business Growth and Development Services
- Partner with Sales and customer-facing leaders to expand accounts, support new-logo growth, and increase bookings.
- Identify and shape repeatable opportunities in modernization, migration, integration, technical assessment, upgrades, adoption, and development services.
- Evaluate opportunities for customer value, commercial potential, delivery repeatability, capability requirements, capacity, margin, and operational risk.
- Convert validated opportunities into scalable offerings rather than one-off commitments that create unsustainable support obligations.
Build Leadership Capacity and Organizational Resilience
- Lead, coach, and develop distributed Delivery, Development, and Engineering leaders across products, customers, regions, and time zones.
- Build a strong leadership bench through delegation, succession planning, targeted development, and clear accountability.
- Strengthen operating clarity, leadership coverage, decision-making, technical judgment, stakeholder management, and customer orientation.
- Oversee hiring, career progression, performance management, and capability development for delivery and development talent.
Establish Effective Operating Governance
- Create a consistent operating rhythm for portfolio, roadmap, modernization, customer escalation, delivery-risk, and executive decision reviews.
- Ensure effective Sales-to-Delivery handoffs, including alignment on customer needs, scope, estimates, feasibility, roadmap implications, and staffing.
- Identify systemic product, process, quality, or capability issues and drive corrective action across the organization.
- Maintain alignment with Planview methodologies and promote disciplined, transparent, and scalable execution.
Qualifications
- 15–18 years of experience in professional services, consulting, software development, engineering leadership, product engineering, or technology delivery.
- 8–12 years of leadership experience across complex programs, portfolios, products, engineering organizations, or enterprise delivery environments.
- 5+ years leading large, distributed teams and developing Delivery, Development, or Engineering managers across regions and time zones.
- Demonstrated success managing software development organizations and building effective leadership structures.
- Strong understanding of architecture dependencies, engineering practices, modernization, EOL management, technical debt, upgrades, reliability, security, and platform sustainability.
- Proven ability to partner with Product and Engineering leaders to shape feasible roadmaps and communicate value, risk, and trade-offs to customers and executives.
- Experience leading complex customer escalations and improving satisfaction, retention, adoption, and expansion.
- Track record of building leadership succession, coaching emerging leaders, and improving organizational resilience.
- Experience developing professional-services or development-services offerings with strong commercial, delivery, and margin outcomes.
- Broad understanding of enterprise AI delivery, including generative AI, LLMs, RAG, agentic AI, workflow automation, data readiness, cloud platforms, governance, and adoption.
- Strong financial, commercial, communication, and executive stakeholder-management skills.
