What’s Under the Hood

DriveTime Family of Brands includes in-house financing and servicing through Bridgecrest, which is one of the country’s leading financial servicing providers. Bridgecrest services roughly $25+ billion in finance receivables for DriveTime and other third parties. We service auto loans across a wide credit spectrum with the intent of creating a strong path to vehicle ownership for our customers.

That’s Nice, But What’s the Job?

In short, as the Director, Remarketing, you will own the end‑to‑end strategic direction, execution, and continuous improvement of all vehicle remarketing operations. This role is accountable for maximizing vehicle retention values, optimizing operational performance, and leading a national field organization through data‑driven strategies, strong auction partnerships, and disciplined execution across a dynamic wholesale marketplace.

In long the Director, Remarketing will:

  • Provide executive leadership and strategic oversight of National Auction Managers and a geographically dispersed team of remarketing professionals to achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual business objectives.

  • Own the national remarketing strategy, including vehicle disposition, auction channel optimization, and lifecycle decision‑making to consistently maximize vehicle retention values and accelerate cycle times.

  • Partner closely with Analytics and Finance to design, interpret, and govern robust reporting frameworks, dashboards, and KPIs that identify wholesale market trends, pricing dynamics, and performance opportunities.

  • Lead the development and execution of integrated marketing strategies with auction and industry partners to enhance vehicle value, optimize sale performance, and strengthen brand presence in wholesale markets.

  • Drive operational excellence and continuous improvement by identifying inefficiencies and leading cross‑functional process improvements through critical thinking, root‑cause analysis, and data‑backed decision‑making.

  • Act as the senior communicator and spokesperson for Remarketing initiatives—clearly articulating strategy, performance, risks, and opportunities to executive leadership and key internal and external stakeholders.

  • Anticipate and adapt quickly to shifting market conditions, regulatory changes, competitive pressures, and emerging variables within a fast‑moving and high‑stakes environment.

  • Develop and mentor leadership talent, building a strong bench of future leaders through coaching, performance management, and a culture of accountability and ownership.

What Kind of Leader Are We Looking For?

  • Executive communicator. Able to influence at all levels of the organization with clarity, confidence, and credibility—translating complex data into actionable insights.

  • Thrives in fast‑paced environments. Comfortable leading through ambiguity, urgency, and constant change.

  • Intellectually curious. Naturally inquisitive, analytical, and driven to understand the “why” behind market behavior and performance trends.

  • Proven people leader. Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and scale high‑performing teams.

  • Highly collaborative. Partners seamlessly with Finance, Analytics, Operations, Sales, and other corporate teams to align enterprise and field goals.

  • Results‑driven and passionate. Sets ambitious goals and consistently pushes beyond expectations.

  • Entrepreneurial mindset. Proactively seeks innovation, challenges the status quo, and embraces continuous improvement.

  • Strategic and future‑focused. Thinks holistically and long‑term while maintaining discipline in execution.

  • Takes ownership. Comfortable taking initiative, making decisions, and being accountable for outcomes.

  • Self‑aware leader. Demonstrates maturity, adaptability, and commitment to personal and professional growth.

The Specifics

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred — or equivalent industry experience.

  • 7–10+ years of progressive experience in loss mitigation; including vehicle remarketing and auction leadership.

  • Willingness to support field operations and partner relationships.

  • Demonstrated integrity, strong work ethic, and exceptional time‑management skills.

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Travel to various vendors and conferences required
