Director, Social Commerce

The Director of Social Commerce will lead Advertise Purple’s TikTok Shop division and be responsible for growing our clients’ TikTok Shop programs. This person will own the strategic direction of the division, manage and develop the Social Commerce team, serve as the senior client-facing liaison for Advertise Purple, and oversee the technical and third-party integrations required to operate and scale successful programs. The Director will develop and oversee strategies designed to drive sustainable growth across the TikTok Shop ecosystem, leveraging opportunities including GMV Max, TikTok LIVE, Creator Contests, our creator Discord community, creator affiliate programs, and third-party platforms. What You'll Do: Lead Advertise Purple’s TikTok Shop division, owning client strategy, growth, execution, and overall program performance Develop and direct TikTok Shop strategies focused on increasing GMV and building sustainable client growth Serve as the primary senior client-facing liaison, communicating strategy, performance, opportunities, and challenges Manage, mentor, and develop the Social Commerce team while establishing clear goals, processes, and performance expectations Identify and activate growth opportunities across the TikTok Shop ecosystem, including GMV Max, LIVE, Creator Contests, and creator affiliate programs Oversee technical integrations and program infrastructure, including TikTok Shop, Shopify, Cruva, Euka, and other third-party platforms Monitor client performance and translate data and trends into actionable strategic recommendations Iterate on existing department processes and best practices, identifying opportunities to improve how the team operates and scales What You Have: BA/BS degree from an accredited university Experience managing, mentoring, and developing a team Demonstrated experience managing and growing TikTok Shop programs Deep understanding of the TikTok Shop ecosystem and the strategies required to successfully scale brands on the platform Strong understanding of the technical integrations and operational infrastructure required to run successful TikTok Shops Proven client-facing experience with the ability to communicate strategy and performance to key stakeholders Familiarity with third-party TikTok Shop tools such as Cruva and Euka and e-commerce platforms such as Shopify Strong understanding of TikTok Shop growth levers, including GMV Max, TikTok LIVE, Creator Contests, and creator affiliate programs Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and leadership skills with the ability to take ownership of a growing business function What We Offer: 100% paid employer-paid benefits (health, dental, vision, and life insurance) 401k match up to 6% Unlimited Vacation Mental Health Days Flexible Fridays from January to October (offline at 2:00 PM) Fully Remote About Advertise Purple Advertise Purple, Inc., the recipient of the 2021 Rakuten OPM/Agency of the Year and the prestigious 2023 Sammy Award, is the leading management agency in today’s fastest-growing digital marketing channel for e-commerce retailers: affiliate.
