Director, Technical Ad Production (Multi Location Sales Support)

Summary Yelp is seeking an experienced leader in digital advertising technology to join our team. In this role, you’ll develop and build advertising creative and measurement solutions, leading cross-functional teams by providing expertise in technical integrations, troubleshooting, ad development, QA processes, and advertising systems technology across Yelp’s platforms. You will manage a group of tier II Technical Ad Producers and Analysts as you support and collaborate with high visibility Enterprise clients, Yelp Sales and Customer Success, Engineering, Product, Marketing and external vendors to drive impactful digital advertising campaigns and initiatives. This is a full-time remote role based in the United States. What you'll do: Lead and mentor teams focused on advanced technical troubleshooting of advertising measurement and creative integration and support—including serving as the Tier II escalation path for pixel tracking, attribution troubleshooting, and vendor management. Partner with Product Marketing, Product and Engineering in the creation, launch, and optimization of new digital advertising products and solutions, with a strong focus on AI-driven creative customizations for recognized brands and properties. Hands on collaboration and development leveraging performance data with stakeholders from Sales, Customer Success, Engineering, Product, and external vendors to address business needs and deliver Enterprise client solutions Develop and implement operational processes for digital advertising, including troubleshooting, QA testing, trafficking, and data collection. Build and manage automated systems for intake and escalation to improve efficiency, transparency, and speed to resolution. Manage support operations utilizing ticketing systems, ensuring adherence to service level agreements. Spearhead technical enablement and internal tool development partnering with Sales and Marketing Tech teams to support and empower Campaign Directors and Managers. Provide training and documentation for internal teams on implementation expectations, processes, and tools. Maintain compliance with digital advertising and data privacy standards (GDPR, CCPA). What it takes to succeed: 10+ years proven experience in digital advertising technology leadership, managing teams in high-visibility, high-stakes environments. Strong background in first and third-party technology integration, ad systems setup and optimization, creative and AI development. Expertise in troubleshooting, QA testing, and technical integrations across multiple digital ad platforms (e.g., Google Ad Manager, Prebid, AdSense, The Trade Desk, Celtra), including pixel tracking and attribution. Demonstrated ability to collaborate across functions—engineering, product, sales, legal, and executive leadership. Excellent vision for the customer experience and willingness to move up and down the hierarchy while building client relationships. Experience with ticketing and workflow management tools (Jira, Zendesk), analytics platforms (MOAT, Google Analytics), and productivity tools Strong communication and project management skills, with the ability to lead and train cross-functional teams and develop future leaders. Experience steering technical enablement, building tools, and optimizing advertising operations at scale. Familiarity with data privacy regulations (GDPR/CCPA) and compliance as it relates to digital advertising products.
