Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, computer science, information technology, or a related field; a combination of education, training, and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in information security, IT risk, compliance, or audit, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience developing and leading a team with proven leadership achievements.
  • US Citizenship required
  • Strong working knowledge of security and compliance frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST CSF, and/or CMMC, and the audit lifecycle.
  • Experience leading a risk management and third-party/vendor risk program and working directly with external auditors, assessors, and/or clients.
  • Proven experience in a dynamic leadership role, with strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, collaborating across the InfoSec, IT, Legal, and business organizations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and motivate effectively across diverse teams, including customers and executives.
  • Intellectual curiosity and interest in understanding evolving technology and security solutions and their business applications.
  • Ability to work outside traditional role boundaries to address organizational gaps, and to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Relevant certifications preferred, such as CISSP, CISA, or CRISC.

Certain states and localities require employers to post a reasonable estimate of the salary range. A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range for this position is $154,000 to $231,000 annually. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including shift, location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that are not included in the base pay.

What will you be doing?

As the Director, Trust and Assurance, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining trust and compliance with our clients and partners. This includes leading our risk management program, gaining and maintaining industry certifications, adhering to cybersecurity contractual obligations, documenting and maintaining policies and standards, and ultimately ensuring cybersecurity trust across our clients, partners, and business. You will be a servant leader who builds the organizational vision, holds your team accountable for results, and serves as a trusted advisor to executives, customers, and auditors on WWT's security and compliance posture. You will leverage your innovative thinking to disrupt the status quo, leveraging AI and technology to drive greater efficiencies and improved visibility across the teams. Your leadership will directly enhance WWT's ability to win and retain business by demonstrating that our security practices meet the highest standards our clients and partners expect.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop an organizational vision for the Trust and Assurance function based on IT and security goals, while driving tactical results. Align and motivate your team by providing clarity and holding leaders and team members accountable for execution and results.
  • Leverage AI and innovative problem-solving skills to develop new approaches for traditional governance, risk, and compliance functions. Challenge the status quo, and develop a culture of innovation across the teams
  • Own the strategy and execution of WWT's security certification and audit programs (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001, CMMC and similar frameworks), ensuring controls are designed, operating effectively, and evidenced consistently.
  • Define key performance indicators, SLAs, and risk metrics, applying appropriate rigor to optimizing resources while driving business-impactful results in a timely fashion. Establish reporting procedures and dashboards for executive-level decision making.
  • Collaborate across IT, Information Security, Legal, and business organizations to drive mutual success. Build trusted relationships with senior leaders, executives, customers, and employees, becoming a trusted advisor and the primary voice on trust and assurance matters.
  • Lead WWT's risk management program, including third-party and vendor risk, ensuring assessments align with regulatory, contractual, and business requirements.
  • Partner with Legal and account teams to respond to customer security questionnaires, due diligence requests, and audit findings, turning security posture into a business differentiator.
  • Design and implement staffing plans that foster healthy teams capable of achieving results aligned with the organizational vision.
  • Be an outstanding communicator, motivating your leaders and team, listening to understand, and working in the spirit of collaboration and mutual success.
  • Embrace humility with confidence, drive pragmatic approaches, and use a risk-based approach for the success of the organization.
