Is this job info correct?

Job Type: Full-time | Location: Ft Worth, TX | Department :  Operations | Reporting to: Head of Procurement | Work Location Type: #remote or #hybrid IREN is a vertically integrated AI Cloud provider, delivering large-scale data centers and GPU clusters for AI training and inference. IREN’s platform is underpinned by its expansive portfolio of grid-connected land and power in renewable-rich regions across North America, Europe and APAC. With 100% renewable energy, we build, own and operate our data centers and take pride in being at the forefront of sustainable solutions for the ever-evolving applications of high-performance compute. We believe that human progress is invaluable, but it should be done in the right way – responsibly, sustainably and having a positive impact on the communities we operate in. The Director, Warehousing, Inventory Control & Logistics is a senior leadership role responsible for the end-to-end physical supply chain supporting the company's U.S. data center construction program. Reporting to the Vice President, Data Center Procurement, this individual builds and leads the strategy, organization, and operational execution for warehousing, inventory control, and domestic and international logistics that ensure critical construction materials, long-lead equipment, and electrical/mechanical infrastructure arrive on site on time, in full, and at the right cost to support an aggressive multi-site data center build schedule. This role requires a leader who can operate at both the strategic and tactical level: designing scalable warehousing and inventory networks, negotiating global freight and customs strategies, and driving daily execution discipline across a distributed network of laydown yards, regional distribution centers, and job-site material staging areas. A near-term priority is to replace today's largely spreadsheet-based inventory practices with a formal inventory management platform (or integrated platforms) covering both the infrastructure/construction and technology/IT sides of the business, and to define how the inventory function interfaces with asset management, maintenance planning, and future CMMS/EAM systems. Warehousing, Inventory Control & Systems Design, stand up, and manage a network of warehouses, laydown yards, and staging facilities to support concurrent U.S. data center construction projects. Own inventory accuracy, cycle counting, and stock reconciliation programs; establish KPIs for inventory turns, fill rate, shrinkage, and carrying cost. Select, implement, and optimize warehouse management (WMS) and inventory control technology (RFID/barcode scanning, mobile data capture, ERP integration) to establish a single source of truth for on-hand inventory across all sites. Develop material handling, storage, and safety standards across all warehousing locations in compliance with OSHA and company EHS requirements. Establish min/max stocking strategies and buffer inventory for long-lead and critical electrical/mechanical equipment (switchgear, generators, transformers, CRAH/CRAC units, etc.) and networking gear Own the transition from spreadsheet-based tracking to a formal inventory management platform, including requirements definition, build-versus-buy evaluation, vendor selection, phased rollout, and site-level change management and training. Determine the platform architecture needed to serve distinct asset classes — infrastructure and construction materials versus technology and IT hardware — including whether a single system or an integrated multi-system approach is appropriate for each. Define the operating interfaces between Inventory Control, Asset Management, and Maintenance Planning, including asset tagging and serialization standards, ownership handoff at commissioning, and criticality classification for spare parts. Establish data governance for item master, BOM, and location hierarchy, and ensure inventory data structures are built for integration with current and future CMMS/EAM systems (e.g., Maximo, SAP PM, Nuvolo). Domestic Logistics Lead domestic transportation strategy (truckload, LTL, flatbed, specialized/oversize heavy-haul) to move materials from manufacturing and ports to job sites across the U.S. Negotiate and manage carrier and 3PL contracts, rate agreements, and service-level performance to control freight spend and ensure on-time delivery. Coordinate site delivery scheduling with construction and project management teams to align material flow with construction sequencing and just-in-time delivery windows. Develop contingency and expedite plans to mitigate schedule risk from transportation delays, capacity constraints, or permitting/routing issues (oversize/overweight loads). International Logistics & Trade Compliance Direct global freight forwarding, ocean and air import strategy, and customs brokerage relationships for internationally sourced equipment and components. Ensure compliance with U.S. import/export regulations, tariff classification (HTS), customs valuation, and trade compliance programs (e.g., ISF, C-TPAT). Partner with Sourcing/Procurement to build Incoterms and total-landed-cost strategies that optimize cost, transit time, and risk across the supply base. Monitor global supply chain risk (port congestion, geopolitical disruption, capacity shortages) and develop mitigation and dual-sourcing/routing strategies. Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing team of managers and supervisors across warehousing, inventory, and logistics functions to support program growth. Partner closely with Procurement, Construction Management, Engineering, Data Center Operations, Asset Management, IT, and Finance to align material logistics with capital project schedules and budgets. Own and report key supply chain performance metrics (OTIF, freight cost per project, inventory accuracy, dwell time) to executive leadership. Develop and manage the annual warehousing and logistics operating budget, identifying and delivering cost-reduction and process-improvement initiatives. Establish business continuity and disaster recovery plans for critical logistics and warehousing operations. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, Engineering, or related field (Master's degree preferred). 12+ years of progressive experience in warehousing, inventory management, and domestic/international logistics, including 5+ years in a senior leadership role. Direct experience supporting large-scale construction, industrial, or data center/mission-critical infrastructure programs. Demonstrated expertise in global freight, customs/trade compliance, and heavy-haul/oversize domestic transportation. Strong track record building and scaling warehousing networks and inventory control systems in a fast-growth, multi-site environment. Proficiency with WMS, ERP (e.g., SAP, Oracle), and transportation management systems (TMS). Demonstrated experience leading the selection and end-to-end implementation of an inventory management, WMS, or EAM/CMMS platform — ideally in an environment previously reliant on manual or spreadsheet-based tracking. Proven people-leadership skills with experience managing geographically distributed teams. Willingness to travel domestically (and occasionally internationally) up to 30-40% to active construction sites and logistics hubs. Preferred Qualifications Experience specifically within data center, hyperscale, colocation, or large industrial capital construction programs. APICS/ASCM certification (CPIM, CSCP) or equivalent supply chain credential. Familiarity with long-lead electrical/mechanical equipment procurement cycles (switchgear, generators, UPS, cooling systems). Working knowledge of asset management and maintenance planning practices — asset tagging and serialization, criticality-based spares strategy, CMMS/EAM data structures — and how they integrate with inventory control. Experience implementing Lean/Six Sigma or continuous-improvement methodologies in a warehousing/logistics environment. Physical Requirements & Work Environment Primarily an office-based role with regular travel to active construction sites, warehouses, and ports of entry. Ability to walk active construction sites and warehouse facilities, including exposure to outdoor conditions and standard site PPE requirements.
