Dispatcher - Night Shift - Remote/Must reside within 50 miles of Beavercreek, OH

The Dispatcher is responsible for dispatching a fleet of fuel delivery trucks. This includes but not limited to calculating and organizing the next-day deliveries, managing degree day scheduling, monitoring tank reports, completing the truck reconciliation sheet, and completing certain pricing. This role serves as a direct contact for the drivers. The hours will be Monday - Friday, 9PM - 5AM, with the option to work in office in Beavercreek, OH or remote. Candidates must currently reside within 50 miles of Beavercreek, OH. Responsibilities: Monitors and analyzes scheduled delivery workload by determining availability of trucks; site storage restrictions; trailer compartment size options; supply point options; delivery time requirements; driver DOT availability; traffic and weather conditions, etc. Create daily delivery routes which maximize efficiency Communicate with drivers to ensure work is completed appropriately, coach as needed Facilitates near real time supply point changes by coordinating with supply department; maximize profit and minimize delivery disruptions by adjusting dispatch as needed Provides high level of customer service by adjusting planned dispatch to accommodate changes in operating environment such as terminal outages, ASAPs, cancellations, rolled loads, truck break down, etc. Requirements 2-5 years transportation Dispatching required 3+ years of experience in logistics, warehouse, or transportation operations 1 + years with inventory software Strong communication skills both oral and writing Ability to multitask Strong organization skills Must be detail-oriented Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment Petroleum/fuel industry experience is preferred Duncan Oil is an equal opportunity employer and employment is contingent upon the completion of a successful background check.
