Job Summary
The Documentation & Funding Specialist I – Equipment Finance is responsible for the accurate and timely execution of commercial loan transactions by preparing documentation, satisfying funding requirements, and ensuring proper transaction booking in accordance with established procedures. This position contributes to operational efficiency, portfolio quality, and customer satisfaction through consistent execution of routine transaction processing activities. The role develops foundational knowledge of equipment finance documentation and funding practices while supporting departmental service and quality standards.
Job Responsibilities:
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare, review, and process routine loan documentation packages using approved forms, procedures, and documentation standards.
- Process loan transaction fundings by collecting required documentation, tracking funding conditions, and ensuring transaction files are complete prior to funding.
- Book loan transactions into servicing systems and perform verification activities to ensure data accuracy.
- Communicate with internal business partners, vendors, and customers regarding routine documentation and funding requirements.
- Maintain accurate transaction records and documentation files in accordance with departmental policies and regulatory requirements.
- Identify documentation discrepancies, missing information, or funding issues and escalate concerns to senior team members for resolution.
- Support post-closing activities, documentation corrections, and audit requests as assigned.
ADDITIONAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Performs special projects, and additional duties and responsibilities as required.
- Consistently adheres to regulatory and compliance policies and standards linked to the job as listed and complete required compliance training. Accountable to maintain compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 0-2 years of experience in equipment finance, commercial lending, documentation, funding, loan operations, banking operations, or related financial services functions.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree.
- Experience working with financial systems or document management platforms.
