Raytheon is seeking a defense industry professional to coordinate business development activities and create new opportunities to drive top line growth for the Requirements and Capabilities Land Warfare & Air Defense (LW&AD) organization. The Associate Director will lead business development efforts for C-UAS programs. In this role, the Associate Director will be responsible for delivering new business solutions to customers by leveraging Raytheon solutions and capabilities. What You Will Do Execute business development strategy to meet growth targets which include over $2B over the next five years Coordinate and execute a prioritized plan of action and milestones that focuses on closing pursuits inside of the current Annual Operating Plan (AOP), and the Long-Range Plan Collaborate internally and with our partners to plan, develop and execute capture strategies for LW&AD pursuits Coordinate and manage program associated New Business Investment accounts, capture and proposal gate reviews, new business assessment and pipeline reviews, international reps and consultants, and customer engagements Lead by example and provide professional and technical expertise to the business development team, LW&AD Strategic Business Unit, and applicable customers Collaborate with RTX Global Government Relations (GGR) at the Federal, State/Local on Public Policy in their advocation and development of new technologies and our solutions Travel up to 20% International and 40% Domestic Qualifications You Must Have Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum of 12 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree and minimum of 10 years’ experience Experience in government, defense, or aerospace Experience presenting and communicating with customers and senior leadership Experience with capabilities integration across Doctrine, Organization, Training, Materiel, Leader Development, Personnel, and Facilities (DOTMLPF) Experience working with Joint and/or Interagency organizations/customers Qualifications We Prefer Ability to be creative, innovative, take initiative, and act with speed and agility for advantage Relevant government and/or industry experience with an established network across government to include Assistant Secretary of the Army for Acquisition, Logistics, & Technology (ASA ALT), Army Staff, Combatant Commanders (COCOMs), Office of Defense Cooperation (ODCs), Army Contracting Command (ACC), and Aviation and Missiles Command (AMCOM) Good understanding of Foreign Military Sales (FMS) and Direct Commercial Sales (DCS) acquisition processes and understanding of the International Traffic in Arms Regulations Familiarity with the business development process, investment funding process and international strategic assessment Familiarity with requirements generation, resource sponsors, and/or program management experience What We Offer Our values drive our actions, behaviors, and performance with a vision for a safer, more connected world.
