What does a Donor Eligibility Coordinator I do?
Under the direction of Donor Eligibility Management, the Donor Eligibility Coordinator I will conduct all tasks related to medical review of donated tissue that enhances and improves lives globally. The incumbent will be expected to steward each donor’s Gift by ensuring standardized operational practices are effectively executed at the local level and by seeking continual improvement opportunities to maximize the value of the Gift.
Job Location
- This is a remote/work-from home position
- Shifts are composed of 10-hour increments (subject to change)
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Reviews donor record information for completion and accuracy, obtains missing information and resolves open items in compliance with CorneaGen policies and procedures. To include but not limited to;
- Authorization for donated gifts
- Donor risk assessment interview
- Physical Assessment
- Communicable disease testing results
- Requests medical records, autopsy reports, or other documentation from outside agencies to facilitate chart review completion.
- When necessary, professionally communicate with care physicians, nursing staff, funeral home directors, medical examiners, etc.
- Maintains confidentiality of donor related information.
- Contributes innovative ideas or techniques, which result in better service or improve the quality of work at CorneaGen.
- Communicates with Distribution / Customer Service regarding tissue status and local needs.
- In all daily activities, strives to support the Mission, Vision, and Values of CorneaGen.
- Must be able to work extended hours, nights, and weekends when needed.
- Performs other projects and duties as assigned.
What compensation and benefits do you offer?
The minimum wage for this position is $23.30 hourly and the maximum wage is $25.76 hourly. Individual compensation will vary within this range based on a candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience as they relate to the requirements for this position.

What are you looking for in the ideal candidate?
To be successful as a Donor Eligibility Coordinator I, the ideal candidate should possess:
- A Bachelor’s degree in life science or an equivalent combination of education and highly relevant experience preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred.
- The ability to work under pressure and time constraints.
- The availability to work weekdays and weekends and/or on a rotating schedule as needed.
- The ability to maintain a professional demeanor and confidentiality.
