Responsibilities & Qualifications RESPONSIBILITIES The Drafter develops and maintains detailed technical drawings and as-built documentation supporting the design, installation, and modernization of the Base Area Network (BAN). This role produces rack elevations, pathway diagrams, fiber routing layouts, floor plans, and network topology drawings in accordance with approved design packages and PWS documentation requirements. The Drafter updates redline drawings throughout installation and cutover activities to ensure the final as-built package accurately reflects the deployed environment. REQUIRED SKILLS 5 years of experience Must have an active Secret clearance AutoCAD and Microsoft Visio proficiency for technical drawings Development and maintenance of floor plans, rack elevations, pathway diagrams, fiber routes, cable schedules, and network-topology drawings Ability to interpret field redlines, blueprints, architectural/engineering drawings, and survey data Knowledge of network/telecommunications infrastructure and ISP/OSP documentation conventions Drawing standards, revision control, configuration management, and as-built documentation Ability to incorporate survey, design, installation, and validation updates into controlled engineering packages DESIRED SKILLS DoD/Air Force network architecture and BAN modernization experience DoDAF or Government engineering-documentation standards GIS/GPS mapping, 3D modeling, or geospatial survey tools Wireless-design or RF-survey tool familiarity CIPS/CVC or comparable communications-infrastructure documentation experience BICSI/TIA structured-cabling and telecommunications-space familiarity CERTIFICATIONS Applicable trade certification, license, or industry-recognized credential Overview We are seeking a Drafter to join our team supporting US Air Force Air Mobility Command Base Infrastructure modernization. The salary range displayed is an estimate only and is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, and will be determined on several factors regarding the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies and experience, as well as contract parameters and organizational requirements. The displayed salary is one component of the total compensation package for employees.
