About the Role
Do you enjoy solving engineering challenges before detailed design begins? Are you motivated by influencing major engineering decisions at the earliest stages of complex projects? As an Early Engagement Engineer within our End Fitting Supply team, you will play a key role in shaping the technical direction of tomorrow’s subsea energy projects. Working closely with customers, Sales, and multidisciplinary engineering teams, you will evaluate technical feasibility, develop engineering concepts, support and provide input to define project case. Your work will help ensure that every proposed solution is technically robust, commercially viable, and positioned for successful project execution.
Objectives
In This Role, You Will
- Take ownership of feasibility evaluations, engineering recommendations and technical decision-making within the EFS scope of supply.
- Develop technically feasible and commercially competitive engineering concepts during early project development.
- Review customer scope of work and technical specification, identify technical opportunities, constraints, and risks before detailed engineering begins.
- Support customers and Sales by providing sound engineering recommendations throughout FEED and tendering.
- Contribute to accurate project scope, cost, time, and resource (CTR) estimates.
- Ensure effective transfer of engineering knowledge to project execution teams.
- Build trusted relationships with customers and internal stakeholders through technical expertise and collaboration.

You will join our End Fitting Supply team, responsible for developing the critical connectors that interface flexible pipes with subsea production systems.

Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Lead engineering feasibility assessments during early customer engagements.
- Review customer specifications and identify technical opportunities and project risks.
- Develop engineering concepts using existing NOV technologies and engineering best practices.
- Recommend technically sound solutions balancing safety, performance, quality, and commercial objectives.
- Support project scope definition, including engineering effort, cost, schedule, and resource estimates.
- Collaborate with Sales, customers, and multidisciplinary engineering teams throughout FEED and tendering activities.
- Support commercial teams with technical input for competitive project proposals.
- Transfer engineering knowledge to project execution teams to enable successful project delivery.
- Provide technical support during selected customer meetings and after-sales activities.
Qualifications
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Structural, Civil, Systems Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- Approximately 1–3 years of experience in a project-based engineering environment.
- Good understanding of engineering principles, materials, and engineering safety.
- Strong analytical thinking and structured problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Professional proficiency in English and Danish.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with one or more of the following is considered an advantage:
- Front-End Engineering Design (FEED)
- Tendering or proposal engineering
- Concept engineering
- Technical feasibility studies
- Engineering risk assessments
- Offshore, subsea, or wider energy industry projects
