Are you passionate about macroeconomics, financial markets and European affairs?

Our agency is currently recruiting an Economist on behalf of a prestigious European institution based in Luxembourg. This opportunity offers the chance to contribute to high-level economic analysis within an international environment dedicated to safeguarding the stability of the euro area.

This position is offered under a temporary agency contract to cover a maternity leave replacement.

Your Role

As part of the Chief Economist Department, you will play a key role in monitoring economic and financial developments across euro area countries and supporting senior decision-makers through high-quality analysis and reporting.


Key Responsibilities

- Monitor and analyse macroeconomic and financial market developments across euro area member states.

- Produce economic briefings, reports and analytical papers contributing to the institution's economic surveillance activities.

- Prepare presentations and briefing materials for Senior Management.

- Develop and utilise analytical tools to identify macro-financial trends and risks.

- Contribute to economic policy discussions and support the translation of analytical findings into operational recommendations.

- Work closely with colleagues across economics, finance, funding and investment functions to generate cross-disciplinary insights.


Your Profile

- Master's degree in Economics, Finance, Econometrics or a related field.

- Strong knowledge of macroeconomics and quantitative/econometric analysis.

- A PhD would be considered an advantage.

- Previous experience within an international organisation, European institution, central bank or financial institution is highly desirable.

- Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to communicate complex information clearly and concisely.

- Proactive mindset, intellectual curiosity and collaborative approach.

- Proficiency with economic and data analysis tools.
