Posting Start Date: 10/19/26
Requisition Id: 15234
Job Description:

About our group:

The Edge and Sales Finance organization serves as the primary finance business partner to the Go-To-Market business organization, supporting commercial decision-making, financial planning, profitability improvement, and execution across the product and go-to-market lifecycle. The team works closely with Sales, Product Line Management (PLM), Pricing, Operations, Supply Chain, and Executive Leadership to drive profitable growth while ensuring financial discipline and operational accountability.

The organization provides financial leadership across forecasting, strategic planning, deal management, profitability analysis, investment prioritization, and business performance reporting. Beyond traditional finance stewardship, the team helps shape business strategy by identifying growth opportunities, evaluating risks, influencing commercial decisions, and translating market dynamics into actionable insights.

About the role - you will:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Finance and Analytics Intern to help identify key gaps, inefficiencies, and manual pain points across Edge Finance processes. This internship provides hands-on experience in financial process analysis, cross-functional collaboration, data analytics, automation, and the practical application of AI tools to improve the way finance work is performed.

The intern will assess selected finance workflows, prioritize improvement opportunities, and develop practical solutions that reduce manual effort, strengthen controls, improve data quality, and accelerate insights. Solutions may include workflow redesign, automation, AI-enabled analysis, and prototypes using tools such as Excel, Power BI, Power Automate, or other approved technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Finance Process Assessment and Gap Identification

  • Document selected current-state finance processes, including key activities, data inputs, systems, controls, handoffs, and outputs.
  • Identify process gaps, bottlenecks, duplicative work, manual effort, control risks, and data-quality issues.
  • Interview key stakeholders to understand pain points, business requirements, and opportunities to improve efficiency and decision support.

2. Opportunity Prioritization and Solution Design

  • Evaluate improvement opportunities based on business impact, effort, feasibility, control considerations, and scalability.
  • Recommend future-state workflows that simplify activities, clarify ownership, and improve the quality and timeliness of finance outputs.
  • Develop clear business cases and implementation plans for the highest-priority opportunities.

3. Automation and AI Enablement

  • Identify automation and AI use cases that can reduce repetitive work, improve analysis, or accelerate finance decision-making.
  • Develop proofs of concept or working prototypes using Excel, Power BI, Power Automate, AI tools, or other approved technologies.
  • Assess data, control, privacy, accuracy, and adoption requirements and document appropriate human-review checkpoints for proposed solutions.

4. Stakeholder Alignment and Change Adoption

  • Collaborate with Edge Finance, FP&A, business partners, and technology teams to validate findings and refine solutions.
  • Support user testing, feedback collection, training, and adoption of improved processes and tools.
  • Present findings, prototypes, and recommendations regularly to the Edge Senior Finance Director and relevant business leaders.

5. Documentation, Roadmap, and Handoff

  • Prepare documentation for current-state findings, future-state processes, solution designs, controls, and user guidance.
  • Create a prioritized roadmap that distinguishes quick wins from longer-term transformation opportunities.
  • Summarize implemented improvements, measurable benefits, lessons learned, and recommended next steps.
