eDiscovery Analyst

Washington DC

Hybrid – 3 Days Onsite / 2 Days Remote

$90,000 – $135,000 Base

Plona Partners is partnering with a highly regarded international law firm to identify an eDiscovery Analyst for its growing legal technology and practice solutions function in Texas.

This position can be based in Austin, Dallas or Houston and offers an opportunity to join a sophisticated firmwide eDiscovery operation supporting complex litigation and high-stakes legal matters.

This is more than a traditional litigation support position.

The eDiscovery Analyst will sit at the intersection of litigation, technology, project management, data and emerging AI tools—working directly with attorneys, eDiscovery professionals, vendors and matter teams across the firm's offices. For an eDiscovery professional looking to develop deeper technical expertise, gain exposure to sophisticated matters and continue building a career within legal technology, this is an outstanding platform. The eDiscovery Analyst will provide both technical and project management support throughout the lifecycle of complex eDiscovery matters.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Managing eDiscovery workflows, deadlines, deliverables and project dependencies
  • Processing data and supporting complex litigation matters within Relativity
  • Creating and administering Relativity workspaces
  • Batching documents and preparing search term reports
  • Creating and managing document productions
  • Performing quality control across eDiscovery work requests and deliverables
  • Tracking incoming matters and communicating project status to attorneys and matter teams
  • Supporting matter onboarding, closing and post-matter reporting
  • Assisting with document retention and disposition processes
  • Maintaining knowledge of defensible eDiscovery practices and evolving industry standards
  • Working directly with attorneys, litigation support professionals and eDiscovery vendors
  • Supporting reporting, documentation, timekeeping and service-management processes
  • Learning and supporting technologies beyond traditional eDiscovery platforms
  • Assisting with the administration, testing and support of approved legal AI tools

The eDiscovery market is evolving quickly.

Relativity expertise remains critical, but leading law firms increasingly need professionals who understand the broader intersection of data, litigation workflows, legal technology and artificial intelligence.

The successful candidate will join a sophisticated firmwide team and have the opportunity to develop from supporting technical workflows into independently managing the technical components of eDiscovery matters. Within the first six months, high performers are expected to begin independently managing the technical aspects of their matters while developing strong working relationships with eDiscovery counsel, attorneys and other stakeholders across the firm.

The ideal candidate will bring:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 2+ years of experience within a law firm, corporate legal department, litigation support or eDiscovery environment preferred
  • Strong proficiency with Relativity
  • Database management experience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple matters, deadlines and competing priorities
  • Ability to translate technical concepts into language attorneys and business stakeholders can easily understand
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a larger firmwide team
  • Professionalism, discretion and the ability to handle confidential information

Additional Technology Exposure

Experience with any of the following would be highly valuable:

  • Relativity Certified Administrator (RCA)
  • Certified E-Discovery Specialist (CEDS)
  • Opus 2
  • Everchron
  • CaseMap
  • Agility Blue
  • Legal AI tools
  • Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

Certifications are valued but are not required.
