About the Role

As an Editorial Designer, you will work closely with our Print Lead Designer to create high-quality editorial and print materials across a wide range of formats.

You will have a strong focus on document design, layout, typography and production, bringing content to life through creative and consistent designs. You'll specialise in multi-page and content-heavy documents, often for clients in regulated and highly structured industries, and take work from brief through to final print.

What You'll Do

• Design editorial and print materials, including but not limited to corporate documents, reports, presentations, posters and brand applications
• Specialise in the design and layout of multi-page and content-heavy documents, ensuring strong hierarchy and consistency
• Work closely with the Print Lead Designer to deliver projects from brief to final output
• Work with print suppliers and partners on proofs, file preparation, materials and production requirements when needed
• Support the team with adaptations, collaterals and rollouts across different formats
• Follow the 4-eye methodology and contribute to maintaining a high standard of quality across all print deliverables
• Join daily team online meetups and QA sessions to ensure continuity and alignment across ongoing work
• Stay up to date with editorial design, typography, print techniques, materials and production trends
• Support other designers with editorial, layout and print-related expertise when required
• Other responsibilities that may arise from time to time
  

What We're Looking For

• 4+ years of professional experience in editorial, graphic or print design
• Portfolio demonstrating creative design, document layout and print work
• Expert in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign
• Experience designing corporate documents, particularly for regulated or highly structured industries such as banking, insurance or financial services
• Strong understanding of grids, typography, hierarchy and long-form document design
• Proven understanding of print production, including materials, finishes, colour, file preparation and printing methods
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational and file-management skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced creative environment
• Strong collaborator, comfortable working within a multidisciplinary design team
• Fluent in English

Nice to Have

• Experience working with print suppliers or production partners across Malta
• Experience with Canva and AI tools such as Midjourney, Sora or similar
• Experience in digital and social media design
