At Fresh Start in Education, we’re passionate about creating positive outcomes for young people who need an alternative approach to education. We’re looking for an organised, proactive and compassionate Education Coordinator to join our supportive Education team.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Coordinate and support a team of Education Specialists (tutors).
- Review student progress, ensuring records remain accurate and up to date.
- Oversee student timetables and coordinate changes to sessions, venues and schedules with parents/carers, clients and Education Specialists.
- Liaise with parents/carers, clients, Education Specialists, agencies and other professionals to ensure important information is communicated effectively.
- Attend review meetings, case conferences and multi-agency meetings where required.
- Provide guidance around student progress, future education and strategies for managing or de-escalating challenging behaviour.
- Identify and appropriately communicate safeguarding concerns in line with company policies and procedures.
Who We’re Looking For
We are looking for candidates who have:
- Experience working with young people, particularly those with SEN or SEMH needs.
- Experience working with multiple agencies and professionals.
- A strong understanding of the National Curriculum and/or alternative education for young people with additional needs.
- A strong understanding of safeguarding procedures and responsibilities.
- Experience using EHCPs and supporting documentation.
- Experience managing a caseload
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Confidence using IT systems and digital tools.
