Role Description This volunteer, remote role supports the social media presence of Hope for the Future. The position involves planning and creating engaging content for platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and other relevant channels, aligned with the organization’s mission and activities. Day-to-day tasks include drafting posts, selecting or creating visuals, scheduling content, and monitoring basic metrics to understand reach and engagement. The role also includes collaborating with team members to promote campaigns and events, maintaining a consistent brand voice, and responding to comments or messages in a respectful, timely manner. Volunteers are expected to participate in occasional online meetings, share ideas for improving social media outreach, and document their work for continuity.
Qualifications

• Ability to work with Social Media Marketing and Marketing concepts to increase awareness and engagement.
• Skills in Social Media Content Creation, including writing posts and selecting or producing visuals suitable for different platforms.
• Understanding of Digital Marketing practices to support campaigns and online initiatives.
• Strong Communication skills for clear, inclusive, and respectful interaction with the online community and internal team members.
• Comfort working independently in a remote environment, with reliable internet access and good time-management skills.
• Interest in or prior experience with nonprofit or advocacy work is beneficial.
• Basic familiarity with social media management tools (e.g., scheduling platforms) is an advantage.
• Fluency in written and spoken English; additional language skills can be helpful.
