Reporting to the Global EHS Manager, the EHS Specialist, EMEA Field Operations will play a key role in building strong cross-functional relationships across Trojan, Veralto, and external agencies.


This position is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining best-in-class safety programs and policies across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa for Field Operations and ensuring compliance with local and national regulations. Working closely with regional management teams, you will help drive a proactive safety culture that engages associates and improves EHS performance.


The role includes supporting the development, implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of Environmental Health and Safety programs in alignment with local and Trojan/Veralto standards.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the Global Field Operations EHS Specialist and Trojan EHS team to implement EHS strategies and drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations, Veralto standards, and customer-specific EHS requirements across EMEA field operations
  • Manage third-party EHS providers and coordinate occupational health, medical monitoring, and compliance programs
  • Promote a proactive safety culture through employee engagement, training, incident investigations, safety meetings, and audits
  • Develop and deliver EHS training programs and safety onboarding for new associates
  • Utilize Cority and other EHS tools to track KPIs, analyze incident trends, and drive corrective and preventive actions
  • Conduct risk assessments and review the safety implications of new equipment, chemicals, processes, and work locations
  • Perform field inspections and compliance audits to identify risks, improve safe work practices, and ensure regulatory compliance
  • Maintain EHS documentation, including injury records, Safety Data Sheets (SDS), and regulatory reporting requirements
  • Coordinate emergency preparedness activities and serve as a key point of contact during emergency situations
  • Support additional EHS projects and initiatives as required

What You Bring:

Technical Expertise

  • Strong knowledge of EHS regulations and compliance requirements across the UK and broader EMEA region
  • Working knowledge of UK health and safety legislation, including:
  • Health and Safety at Work Act (HSWA)
  • COSHH
  • PUWER
  • Contractor Management requirements
  • Experience with contractor qualification and accreditation systems, including Achilles
  • Strong understanding of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management systems
  • Experience utilizing EHS management software and reporting tools

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent recognized health and safety qualification
  • NEBOSH Diploma preferred
  • IOSH membership preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Safety Engineering, Environmental Sciences, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of EHS experience, ideally supporting field service, industrial, engineering, or technical operations environments
  • Solid knowledge of UK and international EHS regulations and standards.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel throughout the UK and EMEA region
  • Ability to travel up to 30% for customer visits, audits, training activities, and meetings, including occasional travel to our headquarters in London, Ontario, Canada
