Job details
Software Engineers have experience overseeing software development projects,
writing optimised code, and provide technical leadership to a team of software
engineers. They are responsible for the quality and functionality of the
software produced by their team.
Key duties and responsibilities
- Applicants should understand the Department's business and our
mission.
- The IT Project teams are small resource groups working
closely with business teams, so ability to perform cohesively in this space is
key.
- This role is Canberra based. The Department will consider options for
candidates to work outside of ACT however Canberra staff are preferred.
Essential Criteria
- Demonstrated experience developing solutions using Microsoft
Dynamics 365, Dataverse and the Power Platform, including Power Pages.
- Strong front-end development skills using
JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML and CSS, with experience in modern frameworks such
as Vue.js.
- Strong full-stack development skills, including experience
with C#, .NET, REST APIs, JSON and SQL, and integrating front-end applications
with backend services.
- Experience with Azure and Power Platform integration
technologies, such as API Management, Azure Functions, Logic Apps and Power
Automate.
- Experience working with established application
architectures, development patterns and reusable components, including Azure
DevOps, source control and CI/CD practices.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills,
with demonstrated experience working collaboratively within multidisciplinary
delivery teams.
Desirable Criteria
- Experience with AI and intelligent automation technologies,
such as Azure AI, Microsoft Copilot, AI Builder, generative AI or agent-based
solutions.
- Relevant Microsoft certifications across Power Platform,
Dynamics 365, Azure or AI will be highly regarded.
