Electrical Engineer
TalentGlideKey Responsibilities
- Design and develop power and control panels, LV distribution systems and transformer-station solutions.
- Prepare and maintain electrical schematics, technical specifications and component lists.
- Ensure electrical designs meet applicable safety requirements, standards and manufacturability criteria.
- Review designs for technical feasibility, safety and ease of production and assembly.
- Support the development and testing of prototypes and new product solutions.
- Provide technical support during implementation and transition into production.
- Work with production and testing teams to resolve technical issues and improve products.
- Contribute to the standardisation and continuous improvement of existing products.
- Collaborate with mechanical engineers and drawing support to deliver complete, buildable solutions.
- For the Lead Engineer route: provide technical direction and guidance to fellow engineers and contribute to engineering standards and best practices.
The role involves working with electrical engineering and design tools and standards, including:
- Autodesk Inventor as the main design environment at present.
- EPLAN, which is planned for implementation.
- NEN 1010 and IEC 61439 as key standards.
- For the Lead Engineer route, knowledge of NEN 3140 and IEC 62271-202 is also relevant.
You will be part of the T&S team, working closely with:
- Mechanical engineering
- Drawing and technical documentation support
- Testing
- Production
- Other engineering disciplines and internal stakeholders
The intake identifies Gershon as a key contact within the team. The exact reporting line and team size will be confirmed.
Working ArrangementThis is a hybrid position, with the opportunity to work from home 2 days per week.
- The remaining working time will be based primarily at the Almere location, combined with any site activities required for projects, testing or implementation. The frequency of travel and site visits will be confirmed.
