About Trinamics
Trinamics is a well-known, specialized name in technical recruitment in the Netherlands, and a familiar and trusted partner for candidates and employers alike. We help technical candidates, from experienced specialists to promising talent, secure a permanent position with strong employers in the technical sector. We work on a secondment-to-permanent basis (deta-vast): you start on assignment through Trinamics, with a genuine prospect of a direct contract with the client afterwards. During the assignment, your employment conditions are exactly those of the client, since the client sets these terms itself.
About our client
Our client is a global technology group with a strong presence in the Netherlands. Its fast-growing modular infrastructure department delivers prefabricated modular substations (E-houses and skids) to the international data center industry. The department has an international team with engineers from all over the world.
What you’ll do
- Lead a team of at least two engineers per project, from technical design through manufacturing to factory testing and commissioning
- Verify electrical distribution systems and design and coordinate interfaces with customers
- Investigate technical issues and advise on layouts, components, cable selection, termination kits, earthing and grounding
- Write technical specifications, assembly plans and commissioning plans
- Lead FAT/FWT test work at the client’s factories and at third-party suppliers
- Coordinate progress in the factories and resolve remaining technical issues, with attention to quality control and ITPs
- Estimate engineering hours and the commercial impact of additional work
- Work closely with customers, factories, suppliers, lead engineers, sales, procurement and other internal departments
- Mainly hardware engineering, with occasional software-related issues
What you bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- At least 8 years of relevant experience, preferably 10+
- Knowledge of E-houses, LV, MV, transformers, UPS systems, protection, and construction and manufacturing procedures
- Fluent in English, spoken and written; Dutch is a plus
What’s on offer
- Employment conditions equal to those of the client, including holiday days and ADV in line with the client’s collective labor agreement (cao)
- A 40-hour working week
- Hybrid working: up to 50% from home, in consultation
- A varied role in an international, fast-growing environment, with a genuine prospect of a direct contract with the client
- Location: The Hague area
Please note: this role is not suitable for freelancers or self-employed contractors (zzp’ers). The role involves short trips on location, at home and abroad (about 15% of the time). A driving license and an EU passport are required.
