• 3A Level: Expected salary range of $117,000 to $130,000, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k).
• 3B Level: Expected salary range of $136,800 to $152,000, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k).

Responsibilities

Location

This is a hybrid role based at our Clinton, IL facility. Candidates must reside within driving distance of the facility. As a hybrid role this position offer the flexibility to work from home, however, an on-site presence is required weekly.

Primary Purpose of Position

Performs advanced technical/engineering problem solving in support of Power plant operations while acting as a resource and technical expert to engineers. Responsible for technical decisions. Possesses excellent knowledge in functional discipline and its practical application and has detailed knowledge of applicable industry codes and regulations. Possesses specialty skills and performs advanced tasks independently with minimal supervisory review. Performs engineering tasks independently and actively impart expert knowledge to others. Higher level of accountability than an Engineer 3A. Must be able to manage and implement engineering analysis and technical programs. Has wide latitude to make technical decisions within accountabilities. Department Specific Roles/Responsibilities: Engineering Defend the plant design and licensing basis. Preparation and approval of design outputs and plant changes in accordance with approved processes and design requirements. Support installation and testing of plant systems and components and facility changes. Ensure the plant's physical and functional characteristics are accurately reflected in the plant documents.

Primary Duties and Accountabilities

3A Level:

• Provide in-depth technical expertise to develop, manage and implement engineering analysis, activities and programs.
• Provide technical expertise and consultation through direct involvement to identify and resolve equipment and system problems.
• Provide complete task management of engineering issues.
• Perform engineering and technical tasks as assigned by supervision applying general engineering principles.
• Perform independent research, reviews, studies and analyses in support of technical projects.
• Recommend equipment, new concepts and techniques to improve performance, simplify construction, reduce costs, correct design or material flaws, or comply with changes in codes or regulations.

3B Level:

• Provide in-depth technical expertise to develop, manage and implement engineering analysis, activities and programs.
• Provide technical expertise and consultation through direct involvement to identify and resolve equipment and system problems.
• Directly and through subordinates, fulfill engineering and technical leadership accountability regarding short-term and long-term programs that impact site operations and reliability
• Implement Procurement Engineering processes and programs that comply with Engineering design and technical specification requirements for Nuclear Power Plants.
• Perform engineering and technical tasks as assigned by supervision applying general engineering principles
• Accountable for the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of work ensuring proper configuration management and assuring that standard design criteria, practices, procedures and codes are used in preparation of plans and specifications.
• Perform independent research, reviews, studies and analyses in support of regulatory/technical projects and programs.
• Recommend equipment, new concepts and techniques to improve performance, simplify construction, reduce costs, correct design or material flaws, or comply with changes in codes or regulations.

Minimum Qualifications

3A Level:

• Bachelor's degree in Business or Technical Program and 5 years of experience, or 9 years of equivalent experience in lieu of the degree
• * Current Employees Only: Demonstrated solid or better results for at least 2-years and works independently in assigned areas of knowledge and skills
• * Current Employees Only: Demonstrated ability to assist and mentor junior engineers on technical, as well as, HU/THU fundamentals
• * Current Employees Only: Demonstrated solid or better results for at least 2-years

3B Level:

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, Science, or related field and 7-years professional experience
• * Current Employees Only: 1-year as Engineer 3A
• * Current Employees Only: Has completed assigned skills and knowledge development training (applicable Advanced Engineering, EPRI, and Constellation University training or industry provided training) to develop expert level of knowledge in designated areas

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical or Nuclear)
• Demonstrated ability to mentor other engineers in key knowledge and skills.
• Proficiency in leading cross functional initiatives at an asset/plant.
