Electrical Engineering Intern/ Co-op

Role description:

Role accountabilities:
In this internship, you will assist with researching, analyzing, and developing solutions to client-specific challenges within the water, wastewater, and broader industrial sectors. Responsibilities include supporting electrical engineering design activities such as load calculations, generator sizing, voltage drop analysis, fault current calculations, and the modeling of electrical, lighting, and solar photovoltaic systems. You will also contribute to the preparation of electrical design documents, including single-line diagrams, AC and DC elementary drawings, motor control schematics, and floor plans. Additional duties include assisting with cost estimates, reviewing construction submittals and related documentation, coordinating with senior staff to meet project deadlines, and traveling to client sites to observe and support the implementation of engineering designs.

Qualifications & Experience:

Required Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering with two to three years of study

Preferred Qualifications

• 0-1 year of electrical engineering and design internship or work experience; US Power electric utility is a plus
• Basic understanding of distribution power design  
• Proficient in Revit AutoCAD, SKM, ETAP, Visual lighting software, Elumtools
