Email Creative Specialist Design mobile-first email experiences in Figma, build polished CRM campaigns, and shape brand consistency across Petbarn and Greencross Vets. About the Role We’re looking for a highly creative and detail-oriented Email Design & Production Specialist to lead the design and production of compelling, mobile-first email creative across our CRM and lifecycle marketing programs. This role will play a key part in the creation of digital assets for omni-channel campaigns, with a strong focus on EDM and CRM communications. The ideal candidate will combine strong Figma design capability with a practical understanding of how email creative is built, tested and deployed through marketing automation platforms. You’ll be responsible for designing customer-focused email experiences that are visually engaging, on-brand and commercially effective, while also owning consistency across brand rules, templates, design systems and CRM creative guidelines. This role will support communications across Petbarn, Greencross Vets and related brands, drawing from the attached JD’s requirement to maintain brand integrity and a strong visual aesthetic across Petbarn and Greencross. Key Responsibilities Email Design & CRM Creative · Design best-practice, mobile-first email creatives in Figma, ensuring layouts are engaging, accessible, responsive and aligned to campaign objectives. · Create high-quality EDM, lifecycle, promotional and personalised CRM creative across email and other owned channels. · Develop reusable email design components, templates and modules that drive consistency and production efficiency. · Apply a strong understanding of best practice in email design. · Support creative ideation and production of purpose-driven assets that attract and engage customers. Brand Governance & Design Consistency · Own and maintain CRM and email creative brand guidelines, ensuring consistent application of brand rules across campaigns and journeys. · Maintain brand integrity and a strong visual aesthetic across Petbarn, Greencross Vets and related brand communications. · Partner with brand, creative, CRM and digital teams to ensure all customer communications feel consistent, polished and commercially relevant. · Help evolve email design standards, component libraries and creative guardrails to support scale across multiple campaigns, brands and lifecycle moments. Marketing Automation Build & Production · Build and/or support the build of emails within marketing automation platforms, ensuring creative is production-ready and fit for deployment. · Translate Figma designs into platform-ready email creative, working with templates, content blocks, dynamic content and campaign workflows. · Work closely with CRM and Martech teams to support personalisation, segmentation and journey-based communications. · Conduct QA and proofing across content, links, layout, rendering, responsiveness and brand compliance. · Troubleshoot build or rendering issues in partnership with CRM, Martech and/or developers. Collaboration & Stakeholder Management · Collaborate with wider marketing, category and digital teams where required · Work efficiently both independently and with other designers, reflecting the attached JD’s focus on confidence working alone or collaboratively. · Take feedback constructively and work collaboratively with teams that have strong interdependencies. · Contribute to ad hoc design projects that support the commercial objectives of the business. Optimisation & Performance Mindset · Use campaign performance insights and customer behaviour to continuously improve email design and creative effectiveness. · Bring a commercial lens to design decisions, understanding how creative impacts customer conversion both in-store and online. · Marry data-driven insights with on-brand visual execution to improve customer engagement and campaign outcomes. · Stay connected to best practice in digital design and emerging trends in email, CRM and marketing technology. Skills & Experience Essential · Strong hands-on Figma skills, aligned to the attached JD’s requirement for exceptional capability in Figma. · Proven experience designing mobile-first email or CRM creative. · Strong understanding of EDM and email design best practice. · Experience building emails or campaign assets within marketing automation platforms. · Strong eye for layout, typography, hierarchy, accessibility and responsive design. · Demonstrated understanding of design best practice. · Strong prioritisation and time management skills. · Creative thinking, initiative and problem-solving ability. · Outstanding communication skills and ability to work well as part of a highly collaborative team. · Ability to work at pace, manage multiple priorities and meet tight daily deadlines. Desirable · Knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript, with the attached JD noting basic coding capability as a requirement for the broader digital designer role. · CRM, lifecycle marketing or loyalty experience. · Experience with marketing automation platforms such as Adobe Journey Optimizer, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Braze, Bloomreach, Klaviyo or similar. · Experience working with dynamic content, personalisation and customer journey communications. · Adobe Creative Suite skills, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro and After Effects, as referenced in the attached JD.
