Position Summary:

Are you ready to help deliver impactful digital marketing experiences that connect infrastructure professionals around the world? Bentley Systems is seeking an Email Marketing Specialist to execute and optimize email campaigns and nurture programs that support global marketing initiatives. In this role, you will build, test, deploy, and monitor email communications and marketing automation programs in Marketo while partnering with campaign, product, webinar, and marketing operations teams. Success in this position requires strong attention to detail, technical proficiency with marketing automation platforms, and a commitment to delivering accurate, timely, and engaging communications to prospects and customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and deploy email campaigns in Marketo using approved templates, including email assets, programs, smart lists, smart campaigns, forms, and landing pages.
  • Configure audience selection, segmentation, exclusions, subscription preferences, and campaign workflows in accordance with approved briefs and data standards.
  • Develop and maintain nurture streams, triggered communications, and webinar-related email programs under the guidance of campaign and program managers.
  • Perform end-to-end quality assurance testing for content, links, personalization tokens, rendering, forms, audience targeting, scheduling, and workflow logic before deployment.
  • Collaborate with campaign owners, content teams, and Marketing Operations to resolve build requirements, obtain approvals, and meet launch timelines.
  • Monitor campaign execution and delivery results, investigate operational issues, and ensure successful completion of scheduled activities.
  • Analyze campaign performance and prepare summaries of delivery, engagement, conversion, and other key metrics.
  • Support A/B testing initiatives and implement approved optimizations to templates, workflows, audience segmentation, and campaign processes.
  • Maintain campaign documentation, naming conventions, operational standards, and reusable marketing assets.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts related to email marketing operations, automation processes, and campaign effectiveness.
  • This is a full-time, individual contributor role expected to work 40 hours per week. The role may require occasional flexibility in work hours to support campaign launches across multiple time zones.
  • Travel is not expected or is limited to infrequent travel to Bentley office locations.
  • Requires sitting or standing at will while performing work on a computer (or any other physical requirements).

Qualifications:

  • Approximately 1–3 years of experience in email marketing, marketing automation, campaign operations, or a related field, including internships or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • Hands-on experience building, testing, and deploying email campaigns in Marketo, HubSpot, MailChimp, or other email automation platform.
  • Working knowledge of Marketo programs, smart lists, smart campaigns, workflow automation, and email scheduling.
  • Understanding of email marketing best practices, audience segmentation, data hygiene, and permission-based marketing requirements.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple concurrent campaigns and deadlines.
  • Experience conducting quality assurance testing and troubleshooting campaign execution issues.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders in a global environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience building and managing nurture programs, engagement programs, or lifecycle marketing campaigns.
  • Working knowledge of dynamic content and basic HTML and CSS for email troubleshooting and template maintenance.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce CRM and marketing data management processes.
  • Experience supporting webinar registration, attendee communications, and webinar follow-up workflows.
  • Familiarity with ON24 or similar webinar platforms.
  • Experience working within B2B software, SaaS, or global marketing organizations.
  • Knowledge of email performance reporting, conversion analysis, and campaign optimization techniques.
This is a Hybrid role.
