👩💻 Your Impact

As Embedded Software Engineer, you'll design and develop the software that brings ViCentra's medical devices to life, from early concept through to full scale manufacturing. Working closely with the software quality and regulatory teams, you'll build solutions that are safe, effective, and ready for the people who depend on them every day.

This is a role with real technical range. You'll move across architecture, prototyping, manufacturing equipment, testing, and release, shaping how the team builds best in class embedded software while navigating the rigor that medical device development demands. It's a chance to grow deep expertise in a field where your code has a direct, tangible impact on patients' lives.

🔧 What You’ll Take On

In your role, you will:

• Contribute to software design projects from concept to production, helping deliver on time and on budget.

• Prototype, test, and report throughout the product development lifecycle.

• Develop requirements, specifications, and software testing plans and protocols.

• Implement coding solutions aligned to design specifications, using best in class technologies.

• Participate in peer code reviews to keep code quality high across the team.

• Perform verification and validation activities, and complete release and quality system documentation.

• Communicate clearly and efficiently with management, peers, and vendors.

• Stay current with relevant scientific and technical developments, contributing to a best in class software environment.

📌 What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in software or computer engineering, or equivalent professional experience.

• A proven track record in embedded programming in C.

• Experience testing embedded software applications, such as unit and integration testing.

• A proven track record of delivering work in a timely fashion.

• Strong technical writing skills, with the ability to produce clean, formal documentation.

• Fluency in English.

• A high degree of curiosity and a proactive mindset toward learning new technologies and domain specific regulations.

• Experience with an RTOS and Zephyr RTOS in particular, is a plus.

• Experience across all stages of development, including software architecture and design, testing, and release is a plus.

• Experience with PCB design, Python and Arduino, or Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) is a plus.
