Your Role at Cabot: The EMEA Regional Finance Business Partner plays a key role within the Performance Chemicals segment within the Carbon and Silica Technologies (CST) business unit, partnering closely with commercial and product management teams across Europe. Acting as a trusted advisor to regional business leaders, this role provides both financial and business expertise, turning complex data into actionable insights, challenging assumptions, and supporting strategic decision-making. The role requires a high level of independence, ownership, and initiative. Working with stakeholders across the region and reporting to a manager in a different time zone, the successful candidate must be able to prioritize work, identify business issues, perform analysis, develop recommendations, and drive actions forward with limited day-to-day guidance. Key responsibilities include forecasting, analyzing, and reporting monthly business results, with a focus on contribution margin performance and working capital management. The role supports monthly and quarterly reporting, provides financial insights on risks and opportunities, contributes to regional business reviews, and partners with leadership on financial and operational decisions. It also drives process improvements by enhancing the quality, efficiency, consistency, and automation of reporting, forecasting, and analytical activities. The position has one direct report and is responsible for providing coaching, direction, and development support to ensure high-quality analytical support for the CST European business. This role reports directly to the Performance Chemicals Segment Finance Director, with a dotted-line reporting relationship to the supported Regional Business Director. How you will make an impact: Operate as an autonomous finance partner for the European region, independently identifying business issues, structuring analysis, developing recommendations, and driving follow-through with commercial and product management stakeholders. Proactively advise on critical financial matters of moderate complexity and participate in projects by providing analytical decision support and financial expertise. Engage with leadership teams of supported commercial functions within the European region. Lead, coach, and develop one direct report, ensuring clear priorities, strong analytical output, and effective support for regional business needs. Responsible for accumulating, analyzing, validating and reporting of forecasted and actual monthly results for the region. Prepare and communicate monthly analysis of business results to senior management team. Coordinate, prepare and communicate forecasts, budgets and other financial information required by management. Initiate studies to clarify results and define opportunities for profit improvement. Conduct analysis of volumes and variable margins by working closely with the regional commercial teams and gaining a deep understanding of the drivers of actuals and forecasted results. Partner with commercial organization on customer margin: pricing recommendations, trend/comparative analysis, thought partnership; provide perspective on full financial portfolio. Serve as the finance lead for regional business performance discussions, ensuring leadership has clear, timely, and actionable insights on results, forecasts, risks, opportunities, margins, pricing, and working capital. Responsible for providing detailed analyses of margins and costs to global leadership team on monthly basis. Perform pricing consistency analysis for the business and communicate recommendations to Global and Regional Account Managers. Drive process excellence across recurring finance activities, including monthly reporting, forecasting, business reviews, pricing analysis, working capital reporting, and management presentations. Identify and implement opportunities to simplify, standardize, automate, or improve finance processes, reporting tools, analytical models, and decision-support routines. Use digital tools, including generative AI where appropriate, to improve the speed, quality, and effectiveness of finance analysis, process optimization, scenario modeling, business storytelling, and thought partnering. Proactively challenge assumptions, surface risks and opportunities, and influence business decisions through fact-based analysis and strong commercial insight. Contribute to, and/or lead strategic project implementation on behalf of the Regional Business Director, or Finance Director. What you will bring to Cabot: Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or finance. 8+ years demonstrated Finance partnering experience acting as a trusted advisor using strategic insight to deliver tangible performance improvements. Chemicals, manufacturing, or similar industry experience. Demonstrated ability to operate independently and effectively in a regional or matrixed environment, including experience supporting stakeholders across different locations and time zones. Strong self-sufficiency, prioritization, and ownership mindset, with the ability to move work forward in ambiguous situations and without close daily supervision. Experience leading or directly managing finance talent, including coaching, prioritization, feedback, and development of analytical capability. Proven track record of driving process excellence, including standardizing reporting, improving forecast and analysis processes, strengthening data quality, and implementing more efficient ways of working. Practical experience using generative AI or advanced digital tools in a finance setting to support process optimization, analysis, scenario development, insight generation, communication, or business thought partnering. Analytical and research skills and ability to review and interpret large amounts of data and provide insight regarding observable trends. Demonstrated ability of verbal, written and presentation skills that ensure effective information delivery to various levels of stakeholders. Ability to create financial models and analyze scenarios. Strong Excel skills: able to manipulate, data mine, clean, troubleshoot, and analyze information using database, formulas, power query/pivot, etc. Expert knowledge of financial principles and their applications in a business setting. Detailed knowledge of manufacturing environment and product costing applications. Learns new technology quickly and is adept at using data to create existing reports. Additional Information: Working Hours: 9:00 - 17:30. Permanent contract. Salary: 3250 - 4650 EUR Gross. Health insurance from first day of work. Monthly allowance & Yearly bonus.
