Employee Engagement Director
LandolakesThe Director, Employee Engagement is a strategic HR leader responsible for shaping the enterprise approach to employee engagement, inclusion, listening, and guidance to our Employee Resource Group (ERG) communities. As a trusted advisor to Sr. Leaders and strategic partners, this leader applies systems thinking to diagnosing gaps and opportunities, and integrating recommendations and solutions into talent practices, leadership development, people processes and programs, and decision-making forums. This role connects employee engagement strategies to business performance through practical roadmaps, measurement routines, and leader and team accountability practices, and develops long term strategies that foster a workplace where employees feel valued and empowered to contribute their best work.
This role is located at our Arden Hills, MN corporate headquarters. Hybrid work arrangement (In office Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday each week)
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the enterprise strategy for employee engagement, inclusion, listening, and employee communities, translating business priorities into multi-year roadmaps and measurable outcomes.
Serve as the organization’s thought leader on engagement, employee voice, belonging, and community-building practices that strengthen performance and employee experience.
Establish governance and strategic direction for ERGs and employee communities, ensuring they advance business objectives including talent attraction, retention, development and community impact.
Build leadership capability among ERG leaders, champions, and executive sponsors.
Identify and translate workforce data and benchmarks, societal and industry trends into insights and practical recommendations for senior leadership and HR Practices.
Partner across Talent Management, Talent Acquisition, Learning, Communications, Community Impact, HR leaders, and business teams to embed engagement and inclusion into talent practices and employee life-cycle moments.
Advise executive, HR, and business leaders on leadership actions that support inclusive, engaging team environments and employee listening outcomes.
Develop and leverage external partnerships such as industry associations, community organizations, and thought leaders, representing the organization in external forums and benchmarking networks, to strengthen the company’s employer brand and community impact.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required in Human Resources or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
10+ years of progressive and broad HR leadership experience in areas such as employee engagement, inclusion and belonging, employee listening, Talent Management, employee experience, organizational effectiveness, Change Management, Business Partner, or related HR disciplines.
Experience successfully building and scaling ERGs, employee communities, listening strategies, engagement measurement practices, and enterprise employee experience initiatives.
Provide leadership to Employee Engagement Consultant and Listening and Assessment Consultant
Demonstrated ability to understand and navigate an evolving external landscape, including social, regulatory, and marketplace dynamics, and translate implications into practical, values-aligned business and talent strategies.
Recognized thought leader, with an established professional network in employee engagement, inclusion, belonging, employee listening, leadership development, or workplace experience.
Proven ability to influence senior executives and drive change across complex/highly matrixed organizations.
Experience leading large-scale enterprise programs, governance models, and cross-functional initiatives.
$163,520-$245,280. In most cases, candidates offered employment can expect to be hired at a pay rate near the middle of our salary ranges.
