Employment Solicitor – Professional Services Firm - Manchester

In a market where there are numerous private practice employment opportunities, I am currently working on a role that offers something a little different.

One of the professional service firms are looking for an employment solicitor to head up their newly created Manchester employment offering. They already operate a national employment service, predominantly out of their London and Leeds offices and are now keen to further expand into Manchester.

The team are looking for someone who may be looking for a role away from the traditional private practice model. Ideally someone who enjoys networking, building relationships and is interested in leading the formation of the new Manchester employment team (supported by the 20 strong team London team, as well as the pensions team who are based out of Manchester).

Unlike a traditional law firm, their legal services are integrated with the broader tax, consulting, audit and risk advisory teams. The role will involve:

• Providing employment legal services to existing clients
• Designing and implementing projects for clients (often managing large global projects)
• Engaging with other departments to network and build key relationships internally and externally
• Involvement with the roll out of new technologies/services to clients
• Focus on the advisory, non-contentious employment work, although litigation does occur from time to time

This role will ideally suit an employment solicitor with 5+ PQE, although candidates with suitable experience who have less PQE are still encouraged to apply. The firm offers excellent hybrid working and a competitive salary/package.
