What the Ideal Candidate will do:
- Design and develop electrical control systems for industrial machinery, including power distribution, PLCs, drive systems, relays, and machine automation controls.
- Create and maintain electrical schematics, bills of materials (BOMs), wiring diagrams, and engineering documentation for new and existing products.
- Test, troubleshoot, and validate electrical designs to ensure compliance with performance requirements, safety standards, and project specifications.
- Support research and development efforts by evaluating new technologies and contributing to continuous product improvements.
- Coordinate prototype builds and collaborate with manufacturing teams to support fabrication, assembly, testing, and product release activities.
- Work closely with vendors, customers, and cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues and implement design modifications.
- Ensure all electrical designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and industry best practices.
- Provide technical support to Sales, Applications Engineering, Purchasing, and Production teams, including project estimates, quotations, and troubleshooting assistance.
- U.S. Person status required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 5-10 years of experience in electrical panel and power distribution design within a manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Aerospace industry experience is a plus.
- Ability to manage electrical engineering projects under moderate supervision.
- Experience in machine controls & panel design.
- Proficient in AutoCAD (or similar); EPLAN P8 a plus.
- Experience with PLC (Allen Bradley) and drive controllers preferred.
- Strong ability to read/write technical documents and procedures.
- Excellent communication, math, and computer skills; ERP knowledge (SAP preferred).
- Must travel up to 10%, including internationally.
