As Engineer I - Software Development at Accelya, you will design, build and maintain software features and services, working collaboratively with senior engineers and contributing to the reliability and quality of our airline software platform.


Duties & Responsibilities

• Design, develop and test software features and services components following established standards and architectural patterns

• Participate in code and design reviews, incorporating feedback to improve technical quality

• Use GitHub Copilot, AWS CodeWhisperer, Cursor AI and Claude for AI-assisted code generation, review and documentation to accelerate development velocity, improve code quality and automate routine engineering tasks

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, QA and architecture to deliver features accurately

• Write clear technical documentation, unit tests and handover notes

• Contribute to Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, standups and retrospectives

• Use generative AI (Claude, ChatGPT) for technical documentation drafting and learning new frameworks


Required Experience & Skills

• 0–3 years of experience in Software Development or a closely related software engineering role

• Good foundational knowledge of Java, Python, Go, TypeScript, REST APIs, microservices and cloud-native development on AWS

• Understanding of software engineering principles, version control and Agile practices

• Strong problem-solving skills and commitment to code quality • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field


Preferred Experience & Skills

• Experience using GitHub Copilot, AWS CodeWhisperer, Cursor AI and Claude for AI-assisted code generation, review and documentation for AI-assisted development, code completion and quality improvement

• Familiarity with AWS cloud services and cloud-native development patterns relevant to Accelya's AWS partnership

• Use of generative AI (Claude, ChatGPT) for technical documentation and learning new technologies

• Interest in airline technology and how leading software platforms power global airline operations
