Working closely with the Global team, the Engineer (w/f/i) - Wind Turbine Certification/Rotor Blades will be responsible for Project execution, Customer management and expanding UL Solutions Wind Energy Certification services in Germany and abroad. Location: Bremen/Germany or optional remote Key responsibilities are: Evaluation of wind turbine rotor blades and their components according to international standards like IEC 61400-5 Structural analysis and finite element calculations with commercialized numerical simulation tools (ANSYS) Inspection of manufacturer’s facilities to witness the correct implementation of specific rotor blade designs in the manufacturing process Communication with internal and external stakeholders Identify possibilities and techniques to improve and automate internal calculations & processes University degree in Mechanical/ Structural/ Aerospace Engineering or any equivalent field min. 2-5 years of relevant experience in structural analysis, fatigue failure, FEA calculations, and fiber-reinforced plastic materials Experience in commercialized numerical simulation tools (ANSYS, ABAQUS or similar) Knowledge of manufacturing processes of fiber-reinforced plastic materials Knowledge of classical laminate theory and composite failure criteria Willingness to travel (within Germany and outside the country) Good English language skills (written and spoken) German language skill is highly desirable Customer focus, commitment, and independent work Should possess excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to efficiently manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously Strong technical aptitude and decision making #Li-HH1
