Engineering Director, Agent Context

About the Role

Lead the engineering organization responsible for an AI context platform within a collaborative data analytics product. You will shape the strategy and execution of tools that help people understand, debug, and improve how AI agents use business data and context.

What You'll Do

• Lead multiple engineering teams building and evolving the context platform.

• Manage and support engineering managers, tech leads, and senior individual contributors, setting clear expectations and supporting career development.

• Recruit and grow the engineering organization to at least 15 software engineers.

• Set technical direction, review designs, and contribute hands-on when it will help move the work forward.

• Guide teams tackling agent reasoning quality, context management, human feedback, automated improvement, and integrations with AI tools and workflows.

What We're Looking For

• At least 5 years of engineering leadership experience, including directing multiple teams in a technical product or platform environment.

• Experience managing engineering managers, tech leads, and senior individual contributors, including performance feedback and career development.

• A track record of recruiting engineers and scaling a team to at least 15 software engineers.

• Experience or strong interest in AI context platforms, data infrastructure, analytics, agent-based systems, or large-scale experimentation.

• Hands-on familiarity with TypeScript, React, Apollo GraphQL, Redux, Express, PostgreSQL, Redis, Kubernetes, Terraform, Helm, and AWS, or equivalent technologies.

• Background building modular products for technical users is valuable.

• Must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

Compensation & Benefits

The salary range is $262,000 to $348,500 USD annually. Employer visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
