Vielfältige Aufgaben

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of software engineers and architects (up to 25 people).
• Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, continuous learning, and engineering excellence.
• Strengthen and grow the engineering culture within the international software engineering chapter across multiple sales business models.
• Conduct performance evaluations, career development planning, and regular coaching sessions.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, and talent development activities.
• Drive modernization initiatives and adoption of new technologies where appropriate, including cloud-native and AI-first solutions.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Architects, and business stakeholders currently based in Germany to resolve team blockages and improve quality delivery.
• Ensure technical quality through engineering standards, architecture reviews, and best practices.
• Guide teams in designing scalable, secure, and maintainable systems aligned with organizational architecture principles.

Überzeugendes Profil

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of direct people management experience leading engineering teams of up to 25 employees.
• 10+ years’ experience in software development:
  • Android and/or iOS application development
  • Backend development using modern technologies and API-driven architectures.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, system design, and engineering best practices.
• Experience working in large enterprise environments, and cross-location teams.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Fluent English language skills (minimum C1 level)

Nice-to-haves:

• Experience with agentic developmen
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
• Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD and platform engineering practices
• Knowledge of cybersecurity and secure software development practices.

Über den Bereich

We are looking for an experienced Engineering Lead for Mobile & Backend Engineering to lead a multidisciplinary software engineering team responsible for designing, developing, and operating mobile and backend solutions at scale.

Reporting directly to the Head of IT of the sales segment, you will lead a team of up to 25 engineers and technical specialists. You will play a key role in driving engineering excellence and building a high-performance culture that enables the delivery of secure, scalable, and innovative digital products.

The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise in mobile application development (Android and/or iOS) and backend engineering with proven leadership in managing and developing larger engineering teams as well as experience leading internationally distributed teams. Your success will be measured not only by delivery outcomes but also by your ability to grow talent, foster collaboration, and shape the future technology landscape of the organization.
