We are seeking a talented individual to join our Data Protection Services team at Marsh. This role will be based in Phoenix. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
This role offers a unique opportunity to lead a global engineering team through a technological transformation, working with cutting-edge Data protection technologies. Leading a team of about 10 professionals globally, you will have a direct impact on the security, operations and effectiveness of MMC’s data protection infrastructure worldwide.
We will count on you to:
- Lead and develop a global team of approximately 10 experienced professionals delivering Data Protection services.
- Drive and ensure a successful delivery of Rubrik backup engineering solutions.
- Manage all aspects of Data Backup and Recovery services, including provisioning, incident management, compliance
- Oversee vendor relationships, including negotiations, contracts, and management of software, firmware, and hardware
- Manage budgets and financial planning for Data Protection infrastructure, identifying cost-saving opportunities and players ahead.
What you need to have:
- 7+ years of technical experience with backup software and infrastructure.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Rubrik.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with cloud backup technologies across AWS, Azure, and OCI.
- 5+ years of management experience leading technical teams.
- Proven track record of leading transformational projects in IT infrastructure
- Experience managing budgets and financial processes for a global multi-million dollar IT infrastructure.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across diverse technology areas.
- Experience conducting technology evaluations and proof of concepts (POCs) to drive innovation.
- Ability to develop and improve infrastructure design and operational processes continuously.
- Skilled in capacity management and vulnerability patching coordination.
- Experience working with a broad range of backup storage devices and cloud-native backup tools.
- Demonstrated success in building and maintaining strong vendor and internal stakeholder relationships.
- Experience deploying infrastructure as a code, Automation and Simplification initiatives is an added advantage.

- Manages budget for Storage Services including Maintenance Services, new purchases based on business capacity increases/strategic initiatives; details growth projections and forecast; suggests strategies for Cost Management.
- Manages the performance and development of staff.
- Manages vendor specifications for supporting systems, which require a formal agreement with consumers to execute change requests; update software, firmware and hardware.
- Manages projects in a timely manner, spends funds according to project proposals/appraisals drafted by team members; tracks project status and provides updates.
