Job Description Galileo is a fast-growing renewable energy IPP, investor and operator , currently in the very dynamic start-up phase. Since our foundation in 2020, we have secured a pipeline of over 16 GW of solar PV, onshore wind , offshore wind and storage projects across 10 markets in Europe. We are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead the company’s engineering team across the development and delivery of utility-scale renewable energy projects. This person will be based in our office in Milan (with the possibility of hybrid remote working) and report to the EPC Director. What you’ll do Act as the EPC Director’s key technical partner, supporting strategic and operational decisions across the project portfolio. Oversee engineering activities throughout the full project lifecycle, from early-stage development and feasibility through procurement, construction, commissioning and operations. Review and approve technical studies, layouts, designs, energy-yield assessments and risk analyses, ensuring quality, consistency and compliance with applicable standards. Play a central role in site engineering activities for utility-scale renewable energy projects, supporting both pre-construction and construction phases, ensuring that technical design, site constraints and constructability requirements are properly integrated into project execution. Work closely with Development, Procurement, Construction, Investment, Legal and Asset Management teams to support project delivery, financing and divestment. Lead the technical aspects of tenders, bid evaluations, equipment selection and support the negotiations with EPC contractors, consultants and suppliers. Manage external technical advisors and monitor market, regulatory and technology developments to identify risks and improvement opportunities. Lead, manage and develop the engineering team, defining priorities, responsibilities, technical standards and ways of working. #LI-Hybrid Requirements What you’ll need Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Engineering (Electrical Engineering will be considered a plus). At least 8 years of experience in renewable energy engineering and project delivery, with strong exposure to utility-scale solar PV. Strong knowledge of the renewable energy project lifecycle, including development, design, procurement, construction and commissioning. Experience with technical due diligence, tender processes, contractor selection and EPC or equipment supply negotiations. Strong leadership, analytical and communication skills, with the ability to combine technical detail with commercial and strategic thinking. Full professional proficiency in English; Italian or other European languages will be considered an advantage.
